The gutter will overflow if the downspouts aren’t large enough or spaced close enough. It is collecting there because the water escapes there. More downspouts or larger downspouts are not aesthetically pleasing for a home like that. I get it.

They need to get a downspout calculator for rainfall in that area. It’s probably not a large enough downspout for a valley, it will also tell the appropriate spacing of downspouts to allow the water out. I used to work for a metal building manufacturer and that thing looks pretty tiny.

How old is this house? Seems like lousy waterproofing🤔

Those gutter dams at the valleys are causing some serious issues. I have done Standing seam roofing over the last 20 years and have gone back and forth on installing these. The reason is to keep the rapid flowing valley runoff from going over the front of the gutter but at the same time they are daming up the debris, which in turn is forcing water behind the gutter. Even with a properly flashed gutter this can still be the case being as gutters are flashed in and not waterproofed to handle pooling water. A better solution is to lay strips of that heavy gutter screen, like EZ Lock, up the valley to slow the runoff down before it reaches the gutter. Hope this helps

What it's like? "Up in the morning with the rising sun, at home depot all day until the projects done." Never ending running around and negotiating, augmented with occasionally getting to build something. Hope to one day be half as awesome as you are, keep crushing it!

I started working at a custom cabibet shop right out of high school and worked there for 8 years. There was only 5 people that worked there so i learned everything from cutting them out to building them to finishing and installing. Now im a finish carpenter and everything i learned doing cabinets tranfered over and really made a better woodworker as a whole.

Was wondering how your wife was doing with no updates on your house and all this work you're taking on, but yes I see you've outgrown it probably and time to move on and just get it ready for sale.

Love the new style video, nice insight to your day. All the best for the future.

Learning kitchen design and how to properly install a kitchen is a great asset to have. I understand custom cabinetry is expensive but danm it feels good to build and install cabinets that fit the space accordingly instead of box cabinets with filler strips everywhere!
