Do you have a bike shop you want to submit? 🤔
ОтветитьJust got ripped-off by Gambacicli (no product delivered and no refund)..AVOID THIS SITE...Inspired me to search around my LBS 's ....at least you can deal face-to-face!
ОтветитьSurly bikes on gcn, who would've thought
Ответить🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭
ОтветитьThe answer for me is always the local one. It's not the fanciest, or the largest stock. But when I need something, I know it's there, and I can get there quickly and I know they're going to be reliable.
ОтветитьA shop who's team really cares about their customers and community. With that, everything else will fall into place
ОтветитьLate to the party, but a shout out to Maverick Bikes & Cafe in Leesburg, VA, USA.
They tick all the boxes, with a great staff, bike & gear selection, cafe, memorabilia (including Super Mario's TT bike from the 1999 TdF), shop rides, sponsoring bigger events, working with local clubs, teams, and charities. Also their own charity that takes donated bikes, fixes them up, and gives them to local school kids.
Blue Lug
ОтветитьIn the future, I would like to see it done by country. In my world, two LBS stand out. Kind Human has the absolute best mechanic and La Bicicletta for their product knowledge, and quiver of products and they always seem to have a supply of parts, including Campy. Both are based in Toronto, Canada.
ОтветитьCheck out 2 Wheels Only in Tamworth. You will not be disappointed.
ОтветитьGravelo in Asheville, NC.
ОтветитьR.E.I.
ОтветитьNone of the shops on my area are as nice as any of those shown. Still, none in North America or Australasia?
ОтветитьAmazed Sigma Sports isn't mentioned. It's a cycling Mecca in London.
ОтветитьOne of the best I've ever been to is Quay cycles in Drogheda. They have tones of cycling memorabilia it's like being in a bike museum! They even have one of Conors jerseys
Ответитьin my town there are only two shops, where you can't really find much... so I do my shopping online.. so, which is the coolest online bike shop, preferably in Europe?
ОтветитьThe best bike shop is close to where one lives, has honest and friendly staff, who do repairs not just sell stuff, and charge fair prices. That sort of bike shop anywhere in the world is the best bike shop.
ОтветитьI’m IN THE NW 3 HRS from Vancouver BC in Olympia Washington, USA. In a college town of 25000, there are four bike shops, but mine is the best—shout out to Jason 1 and Jadon 2 at Old City Cycling. They take special care: Jason 1 said “if we can’t fit you right, you won’t ride.’’ Picked out each part of the bike color, size, weight, length of tube, width of bars, chain, suspension, quick release, seat, seat post adjustability. Then Jason 1 said the price asked it it was in my comfort zone. He said they didn’t want buyers remorse on what Sh/be a great, exciting purchase. Then he said “come back tomorrow, we will have built your bike.’’
I came back, the bike was there. Jason 2 said okay let’s get you on the trainer for 15 minutes to see what adjustments we need yo make.’’ Then at 15 minutes we changed the seat and pedals. Jason 2 said, come back later today and we’ll get you outside to ride in traffic—test how you feel when braking, turning and peddling.’’
I said can’t I just go home with my bike Now?’
Jason 1 and 2 said together ‘this bike is still the property of this shop.’’ Jason 1 added‘’We’ll let you buy it only after we are sure it fits.’’ I groaned but did the ride around three blocks, including rail tracks to see how the suspension felt.
I also bought a computer, a small tool kit with individual tools they selected. I had an offer to ride a week, bring back the bike for review/changes and lessons on how to do small repairs.
OLD CITY BIKES IS WONDERFUL. BTW don’t drink coffee, don’t do group rides, but love bijes and cycling.
An ambitious product. You should definitely look towards the States and other countries.
ОтветитьHaha, that's me in the Swiss national jersey at Cycle Shop Zurich @ 2.12. This was the group ride before Tour de Suisse. I imagine this will be my one and only appearance on GCN 😉
ОтветитьJan's fietsreparatie te assen.
Legendary wednesday grouprides! With coffee and bokkepootjes
l ll have to give both bike shops credit for service etc DUTCH CYCLE & WESTERN CYCLE ,REGINA SASK CANADA
ОтветитьGreat to see Velodrom on there. The team in Girona are exceptional and really helped me out when over there earlier in the year.
ОтветитьSome of the bike shops I’ve been to are full of arrogant, swinging dick types. So far up each others arse and only interested in the most expensive gear, taking a different language.
For the common rider like me, I just use online stores and order whatever I want after doing online research.
The less I have to interact with a bricks and mortar shop and it’s inhabitants the better.
Nice profile on big bikes businesses. Now, how about a post on real small bike shops were business is not a purpose but a consequence
ОтветитьB-Cycling, in Bavikhove Belgium.
ОтветитьThe best bike shop for me was the one that allowed me to borrow a work stand space and tools and learn from them how to service my own bike
ОтветитьShops that focus on road is different from ones that focus on mountain biking and is different from ones that focus on everyday riders like commuters
ОтветитьCycle Store Zurich is outstanding! I had the chance to visit this year and spent time with the crew having a coffee and then a beer as I had to spend more time there!
ОтветитьCome on...all Europe?
ОтветитьBelmont Wheelworks, Belmont Massachusetts, celebrating 45 years.
Ответить“This GCN video brought to you by Canyon.”
ОтветитьI used to work at 12Gobiking in The Netherlands. Probably the biggest bike shop in size in the world. You could spent a good day there. They even have a cycling track inside for test rides and every type of bike.
ОтветитьHalfords
ОтветитьYork Cycleworks, great team, great service, great products!
ОтветитьConnor is the best!!!!
ОтветитьAwesome to see In Gear on here!
ОтветитьThe world’s best bike shop? The Woods Cyclery in Lyndhurst In the New Forest.
ОтветитьThat Velodrom shop does not look appealing at all. Seems like they're more focused on looks & minimalism than actually being a local bike shop. I don't know the vibe just screams high end clothing store and that turns me off.
ОтветитьCycle Store Zurich?? You have to be joking… there are loads of shops in the Zurich area which are better, far more more customer friendly and much more reasonable price wise. ST Distribution for one, Bike Zone is another. And no I don’t work in a bike shop and I’m not associated with one either
ОтветитьSurprised to see no shops from Italy.. no place else in the world you get a better cappuccino after a ride.
Ответитьand I'll still buy all my bikes and gear etc directly from China/Taiwan - why? cause I'm not stoopid!!
ОтветитьCycle Store, Zurich? Like all bike shops in Switzerland, horrifically expensive. Lived there for three years and always bought kit back home in the UK top take back.
ОтветитьKatow...what?
ОтветитьГде Бирота?
ОтветитьThese look great if you live in a market with that much money flowing around bikes. But in lots of places the store is much more budget focused with smaller store, less bike inventory and more emphasis on repairs and service
ОтветитьPsst, Conor...it's Quito [KEE' to], Ecuador. :)
ОтветитьGraham Weigh ( Deeside Cycles ).
