hadn't listened to this song in literal years. when it started playing i was sure i hadn't listened to it before. but dumbfounded as i was right then and there, the lyrics came out of my mouth properly. just like with any other sabaton song i haven't listened to or sang in the past few years.

the concept of that battle is so epic. american and german troops fight off nazis in a siege at a medieval castle

This battle at least if I’m thinking of the right one, was a battle between a heavily equipped unit of Waffen-SS troops against American and German Wehrmacht units who had surrendered and decided to fight on the side of the Americans. They ended up winning against the outfit of Waffen-SS troops with the defensive positions they had made in the castle where the fighting took place. The fighting on the side of the Waffen-SS was described as almost entirely out of anger and hatred that their fellow countrymen had joined the Americans

I don't know about you guys (Certain states and towns have different curriculums) But I was never taught this. Which was odd to me, because we always discussed important events on the western front.

Now I don’t condone what the SS or their superiors did, but I give props to the Germans who did exactly what they were told until their last breath. Very courageous of them.

If you ask me and apparently many others, it is one of if not the strangest battle of the war.
