In this episode of Guitarchaeology with Pinetop Jackson, a Guitar Safari takes us to the small town of Sumner, Washington. We buy a used, left-handed Daisy Rock acoustic/electric bass guitar.
We get it home and start carving a new bone nut in order to convert it to a right-handed guitar.
Please note I am not a trained luthier! I ask forums & Facebook groups about my projects, I watch how-to videos on YouTube like the rest of us...but still I'm pretty much making this stuff up as I go along! Your experience with aspects of luthiery and guitarchaeology are gonna be different than mine. Any tips or advise you post in the comments will be a great help, just as I hope these videos are of help to others!
Thanks to Joe from Phantom Geist for the outro drone footage!
