First!
You need a sight for this. Can probably JB weld a truglo sight or drill in a bead sight.
Gd old gun...hope u fire appropriate length shotshells...likely chambers are 2.5 or 2 5/8" and those shotguns werent
Proofed for smokeless modern powders... Id be shooting black powder/and or appropriate low pressure smokeless...honestly its your gun...id of never cut it...check my channel i post several of mine...im in process of restoring a few .. Also at end where you cut it...likely a hole where wedge is now gone...a trick is stuff hole with steel wool. And melt solder inside...fill flush...
Then dress with a file
....
ОтветитьMine is still nicer lol.
Ответитьwhat did you do to seal in between the barrels on the front after you chopped it? i like to poke a little bit of steel wool in between there, then seal over that smooth with some jb weld, sand/file and done.
ОтветитьGot this nice old shotgun Its in good condition lets hack it apart instead of just buying a stoger. Moronic yanks
ОтветитьCoach gun is still on my list of must haves for my collection, and one of the few that won't add a caliber so I don't have to source ammo in these times
ОтветитьI hate to see an old sxs cut down
ОтветитьLooks good man
ОтветитьTurned out nice. That oil really made the deep golden color in the wood pop. Later Matt 🐍🇺🇸
ОтветитьDude. I just cleaned up one of these today, exact same model, American gun company 28 inch 12 gauge.
ОтветитьIs it Damascus steel? The one I was messing with today is.
ОтветитьBeautiful! I want you to make me one!

ОтветитьI’ve always wanted a coach gun just because they’re cool. Been looking for the hammerless CZ coach gun but they’re pretty hard to find. Granted, I could find on online but I’ve just been waiting until I come across one at a gun shop.
ОтветитьTapping a little brass bead is very easy to do.... That rib is soft metal..
ОтветитьYou're killing me. I want a coach gun so bad but it's hard to justify buying a stoeger for 400 when you can get a pump for cheaper. And only one shop locally has old doubles. I'm pretty sure he thinks they are made of gold tho
ОтветитьHow do you D.I.Y. BUILD a gun that is already built?
ОтветитьA nice lupara.
ОтветитьThank you NEA, lovely job.
Ответитьawesome, im going to make one with an old percussion 12 gauge. hoe does is shoot? have you tried shooting a roundball slug ? i wonder how it behaves with the 18". best regards Gordon NL
ОтветитьThat is amazing work. I want to customize my stoeger dd ss. I was thinking an action job and quality wood furniture. Any other suggestions?
ОтветитьBeautiful gun !!
ОтветитьLol put a butt pad and it wont stick out
