Hey Jon!

Fantastic video and I'd love to build a very similar kit. Do you have any alternative recommendations for the Leathermanm Adapt bag?

I'd love to use that bag but the price tag is a bit punchy for me, although I haven't found anything simular yet.

would be great to know if you know any others about?

Thanks for some great content!

Thanks for the in depth review sir! I never understood the "non-locking blade" law. I would think that such laws would made for the safety of the user, in which case, the blade would be less apt to close on your fingers. ??? I am going to get one of these kits for my bike. Thanks again Mr. Gadget!

A nice toolkit, I have some how never seen panoramic tape measures before. The only things I would add are a can of WD40 or some form of easing oil, some velcro cable ties to temporarily hold things out of the way and a couple of plastic spudgers to go with the hoto precision screwdriver.

Klein tools has a non-contact voltage detector that goes down to 12 volts which is useful when working on cars in electronics, in addition to that the NCVT-3P has a flashlight built into the tip so you can see your way around the dark shadows of junction boxes

I have to say that this is a very handy load out especially for the volume. Being a domestic guy I would love to see a filling knife and a chisel in the mix. But that's the game. You can never have it all

🦀 Two little pliers from wolfcraft (30mm) to stabilize the stuff you workin on would fit perfectly in the box.

🔥 A little lighter is always welcome

💡 And a clickable version of the Sharpie marker existe, so it’s easier to use at any time

👍🏻 Thank you for all other tips and brands, so nice !

Hey Jon, 1st off I love your videos and enjoy every one that you post. I am in the states and have a similar kit in both my vehicle and my wife's and it comes in handy ALL the time! I'll be adding a few bits thanks to this video, but I would say looking at your kit I think the socket wrench is way to small, and same can be said for the screw driver (especially if you're working on a car.) I love the bit/socket kit you have in there I would just add a bigger socket wrench and the Klein Tools 32559 6-in-1 (which will work with all those bits I believe.) Also, a pair of nitrile gloves and a pair of proper work/mechanic gloves. And the last one would a little bit of plumbers epoxy (kinda like your tape but really great for metal.) Overall I think you made a beautiful and useful tool kit and you inspired me to add a few pieces to mine. Cheers mate! Keep making these awesome videos!

how the hell does the UK have such a bad knife problem when they even ban lockable blades. Did they really do it, see negative improvement, and keep going?

Very cool. You should add a 4140 pry tool, it's quite small and very capable. You could even store some tape on it in the form of a handle.

Not sure what all you have access to in the UK, but in the States Milwaukee sells a “fastback” 6n1 utility knife with a built in #2 Phillips and flat head screwdriver in it. It’s really great and durability is fantastic as well. Use mine daily for years.

Regarding UK knife law - you can put a locking blade in a tool bag. The intent for doing so is obvious. You may even have a locking blade in your pocket if (for example) you're an electrician and you are on a job.
You may not carry most knives or weapons on your person without good reason. The exception is a folding pocket knife under 3" as long as it doesn't lock. So you can absolutely have a big, locking knife as part of a toolkit in your bag if it makes sense for it to be there, such as a Leatherman multitool with a locking blade. Or such as the utility knife.

Without a doubt, this is the BEST roaming tool kit I have ever seen. I say you would have to struggle to find a situation that you would not be covered with a tool kit like this. BRAVO, I mean, I enjoy a lot of your videos, this one, blew me away. Sadly, I will echo @Brian-Burke 's comment, my wife will have something to say about this in the future... Thank you for listing everything!

Most items very similar to my picks. Take a look at the Megapro automotive screwdriver. At 9" may barely fit this kit, but its excellent and is about $35 US. I would also suggest a big cheap screwdriver as a pry bar and a pair of locking pliers.

Not sure the Leatherman Bond is a safe bet for legal carry because when in use (with the handle folded closed) the blade is still locked open, even if it still collapses to a 45 degree angle. There was discussion on a recent ruling in a court case (name escapes me) in which the judge defined it as needing to "fold away unaided". You'd have to open the Bond to allow the knife to do this, hence "aiding" it to fold.

I'm going to remove the knife from my multitool. I carry paramedic shears, anyway, and use them far more often. The law is an ass but like an ass, it has a hell of a kick if you get on the wrong side of it!

I use a Kreiga tool roll on my motorcycle, and it contains pretty much everything I need should anything happen. It obviously contains mainly engineering tools with spanners, sockets, driver, and even a bunch of cable ties. Fortunately, I've only needed to use it a couple of times, but it's comforting to have. It fits in a small bag strapped to the passenger seat. 👍

I have never been so happy that I don’t live in the UK. I carry several blades that lock because a locking blade, while still dangerous, is safer than a blade that can close on your hand.

I always love your set ups Jon and this one is no exception. If I would try to add something to your selection of tools it would be a pick, and a small pry bar. Just food for thought, lately I tend to like more the pass through ratchet socket set than the standard one but I guess there is no room if you use the wera tool check plus.
