It won't be as effective as dumbbells because plate's requirs and takes lots of energy to hold with your fingers, therefore static energy steals focus from delts
When U hold dumbbells it's more comfortable and most of the focus goes to the delts
Every time I see anyone else trying these, aside from Liu himself, they’re not doing it the same way as him. Notice how he starts with the plates in front with a slight hip bend and brings them up and straight back. Everyone else you see in these videos doing it are doing a more circular motion without bringing them from front to back

ОтветитьThe minor detail he left out is that traditional side lateral raises only target the lateral head, whereas Lu raises will target all 3 deltoid heads and the upper back.

ОтветитьI do ballet, these help me a lot because the lifts in ballet are very simlar to the snatch and you need to lock your arms overhead while lifting a 55-60 kg ballerina.
ОтветитьThese and kettlebell halos, fixed my shoulders. Done a million different excercises to try and help none of them worked until I did these. Ill probably do them the rest of my life.
