I would absolutely love a movie about the rise if Peter Weyland with Guy Pearce starring. This would work very well in a TV series as well. Amazon and Apple produce so much crap, let alone Netflix. This concept would actually have a lot of potential for something decent.

Awesome speech; Prometheus is one of my favorite movies of this century. I really don't get all the hate in receives... I think a lot of people thought it was going to be a typical Alien Franchise movie with Xenomorphs killing everyone. That plot has been SO overdone; I loved that they tried to make something new that adds something interesting to the Alien mythology.

I believe this movie didn't do well at the box office is because it was made for ALL Sci-Fi fans, not just Alien fans. Typical Sci-Fi fans didn't watch it and Alien fans hated it because it didn't follow the typical Alien meta. I wish they would expand on the Prometheus/Covenant storyline, but it looks like they're going to abandon it. Bummer...
