been a while since i've uploaded to this channel, i'm aware, but i've just been busy with handling some stuff IRL; all goes well, though, and if i can get the drive for making videos up and running, i'll have some stuff coming up ^^ might try to do some shorter-ish videos before tackling another big thing like this to keep myself from burning out too hard

i think the main theme in backrooms is about finding meaning. from async trying to find meaning in the backrooms, to the viewers trying to find meaning in these videos, fans of liminal art reflecting on the meaninglessness of existence.

I noticed when I saw the movie blackboard and the date said July 4 th. That’s in the middle of summer and the crew was dressed in coats and jackets and it seemed like a lot of clothes for a summer day so I don’t think the date was accurate.

I mentioned it before (10 months ago omg) but its got like 5 videos in it now including an amazing 20+ minute third episode… there’s maybe less to dig into theory wise but it has similar themes of eldritch horror, knowing what you shouldnt, inexplicable maddening situations…

I wonder if the beast would persist were it to enter the normal world. - _ - like siphonophores that big couldn't really work out here, I wonder if it can only live since the backrooms might be a sterile enviroment. Again, I'm not sure how much lives in the backrooms. I wonder if it could be populated by plants? if it left a real tree what would the rooms do? would it start using tree data to add them around? could those kinds of plants could mutate? huh... wait where does it get it's energy? are the lights... like... stars?

tar files are still very very prevalent in the *nix world, where compressed forms (.tar.gz, .tar.xz, .tar.Z) are used essentially the way zip files are on windows and mac. tarballs, as they're known, are better suited on unixlike systems, as they can properly store file permissions. they're also more effective in pipelines, making them better suited to the command line.

oh and while i'm here. the series is on what seems to be a hiatus as kane got a movie deal specifically for this project/the backrooms! there's been another series started up in the meantime on his channel that looks, excuse my french, fucking fascinating.
i imagine the movie will lead to some kind of end for the backrooms, would love to see an analysis video after that comes out too
