Could the BenQ V7050i 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector REPLACE Your TV?

I think it would be a much cleaner look if the BenQ media stick and usb power cable came 90 degree plugs.

Those blu-ray calibration discs are outrageously priced. They likely see these videos and the prices double.

Projector looks really good but go ahead and put a movie with a lot of action on it to really show the true effect!

Great review. When do you think long throw laser project will be a regular product. Its seems to me there now now so many options ultra short throw but if you want a long throw to project 150inch then you are spending big $$$

I wish there was a projector out there more to appeal to people who watch movies AND game. With the new games coming out and supporting 4k 120 it makes you really wonder if size is more important than optimal performance that you’d see in todays OLED. But… as always.. awesome review!

This projector definitely provides a more complete package and I am considering it for my home.....bedroom TV. I am less and less impressed with Flat Panel OLED tv's and the "deep black" colors they can create because usually when it's a dark scene in the movie/show I end up seeing a reflection of myself sitting on the couch. This is one of many reasons I am leaving Flat Panel TV. The black colors may not be AS dark, but they are QUITE CLOSE ENOUGH to the OLEDS that it's insignificant. ESPECIALLY when you consider this Ultra Short Throw Projector's 120" vs a Flat Panel TV's 85" or 90" (if you wanna spend tens of thousands on a 90" image). Great video, confirms my feelings that this is the Ultra Short Throw to get to replace the Master Bedroom TV. I already have a 4K projector setup in the Living Room.

Hey Youthman, I would like to ask you a very important question. If I buy a 16:9 aspect ratio projector screen and I happen to watch a 2.35:1 aspect ratio movie. Will the ‘black’ bars above and beneath the movie be black or just the color of my projector screen (white)?? I would really appreciate a response since I can’t find an answer anywhere on the internet. 🙏🏼❤️

The form factor of the BenQ is incredibly compact! No more need to hang it from the ceiling. That solves a lot of problems.

So, this is Native 4K? As in no image switching method? If it is, its a first for a UST that I know of. . Nice!! I just upgraded my Optoma CinemaX Pro for the Samsung LSP9T. Should've waited just a lil bit longer cause this has 3D. 3D is getting a lil scarce tho. I like the convertible top, very nice. And the built in measuring tape is also handy. Question about the keystone or as its now called , geometric correction. I heard that it doesn't affect the image. Is there an actual difference between keystone and geometric correction?

Did you get my ideas I had for your buddy Jeff of JTR? If not check the Monster sub overview video for them to pass on to him. I would tell him myself but I really don't have a lot of trust in Facebook or Twitter as they have been pretty ban-happy when it comes to conservatives cause they really hate former POTUS Donald J. Trump so much that the heads and the Biden Administration wants ANYONE WHO DOES NOT TOW THE ESTABLISHMENT LINE PURGED off of it and that means people who lean right unfortunately and it is illegal to call for that (sorry for bringing politics into this) so if you could tell him for me that would be great as I think he would like those ideas. I dunno about you. hell put 5 of the Noesis 204s with one of the micro subs along with a reciever, Jeff would also have an excellent home theater in a box system so another idea that he would probably like. I mean a full JTR home theater setup that almost anyone could afford as those systems are great stepping stones in home theater as they are pretty much set up and ready to go right out of the box just properly place the speakers and sub, wire them all up to the reciever and hook the reciever into a TV and boom: You are ready to watch a movie. That is why they are a great first step or might be the only way if the person is living in an apartment and can't go too crazy.

These are great if you are looking for a TV replacement, but I really want a rear projection laser projector for this price. Not sure why they keep pushing this UST stuff.

Hey Michael.A little bit of help here, this benqv7050i is s pain to get it line up with a screen from vava 100 inch. I’ve tried moving the screen as well as the benq. What could I be doing wrong? Thanks.

Looks like a great machine but the media stick and usb really is poor design. Why does it need an external media stick, why can't it be integrated?

I've considered one over the past year, but I can only excuse the purchase of a good name brand one like LG/SONY/BenQ/View Sonic if they start to come down to at least OLED prices. $1500-$2000
