these two are AMAZING together. so much chemistry and wit. she should’ve been in a lot more episodes. (although their partnership made the whole “john suddenly loves Joss” thing look sooo non-romantic & pretty ridiculous actually.) john and zoe are perfect for each other. wish they had him dating her in the 5th season instead of Iris (another non-romantic and random relationship). they had a gold mine on their hands, and never used it.

I actually love that they kept this relationship to friends with benefits. They got along so well and had amazing chemistry, but were both adult enough to know their lives were fundamentally incompatible for anything deeper. It’s just really good writing. So often shows can’t help themselves from making every relationship into a soap opera. Whenever Zoe appeared on this show, it was just a fun treat.
