I am Muslim and I am conservative but the way the mom yells is not possible and her words when she said that the bride has to forget about her family is beyond crazy if you truly want someone to submit to Islam you wish them good you reassure them treat them like your daughter and you pray god to help them through their journey and you don’t pressure them like that especially when the other one is from another country my religion is about peace and there is a huge difference between religion and traditions

As a Christian Eastern Orthodox Romanian American, I make friends with kids of immigrants like myself. I have been in multiple Muslim households from different countries: Jordan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Even when I wore immodest clothing, they did not care at all. The rule was as long as their daughters didn’t wear my outfits, we were good. Every single time I went to a Muslim house even in Ramadan, they ALWAYS offered me food.
