Love your sci-fi genre reviews. However, they are not included on prime! Your recommendations do you have to rent. kinda lame! Maybe Prius scamming us all .How some free stuff On subscription channels: prime, Max, Disney, Paramount, apple, etc. seriously, who wants to pay for it again?

Most of this list seems a bit deperate, trying to breath life back into dated retro material. A couiple of the movies listed here are actually high quality, relevant productions, somewhat unfairly lumped in with this collection of B- grade, dusty, unintentional comedy sci-fi that I wouldn't spend much time watching. I guess I'm just not that nostalgic for much of this simplistic retro material. That "Interstellar" would be deemed too exhausting to watch, in comparison to the cheesy comicbook level material in some of these other choices, well, that sort of says it all.

Interstellar IS Christopher Nolan’s best original movie. I saw it 4 times in the theater. Hans Simmer soundtrack is epic.

Why would anyone pay for movies like this, they are so bad.

Under the Skin, Moon, Idiocracy, Sunshine are all excellent.

I think Valerian is way underrated...watched it numerous times...quite a good watch.

Most of these "outstanding" movies are absolute s***, not even bad in a good way, just plain bad.

Close encounters of the 3rd kind stands up to today's movies, IMO. Yeah, it's old, but it's darn good.

The original War of the World was another great film that I loved growing up.

Maximum Overdrive is great. I saw this film when I was a kid. I loved it as a kid. Yeah you read that right, "a kid"

I don't know if this is Canada or what, but none of these movies are available on Prime.

Note they are all decade old movies. And now Prime makes us watch advertising when we watch their movies. It’s bad enough we pay to watch such old flics !

Have vastly reduced the screentime on Prime because of those fking adverts. Gone over to Netflix.

Prime may have good things on there but the UI is set up to get you to rent/buy movies and tv shows or to subscribe to other services like HBO. Its all about getting you to spend money, not about finding good stuff to watch.

I walked out of freejack, worst movie ever

I'm so happy I watched this "INK" is a movie a watched when it came out, forgot what it was called years later and have been looking for it's name for ages.😀

The Vast of Night (2019) should be on this list. Especially if you’re a fan of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. The debut feature film from director Andrew Patterson really has a classic Spielberg feel to it. Just a very well made movie.

Three friends and I saw Close Encounters on opening night at a big theater. We all sat together, the film was such an emotional experience we didn't say a word to each other throughout the film and most of the way home in the car. Great memories...

Loved buckaroo. Don't forget Buckaroo bonzai had an amazing cast of big actors in their early days!

Spielberg's War of the Worlds is complete dog sewage by comparison to the original. Go watch this flawless 1953 classic.
