I want to see all the secrets, the art of making secrets is interesting to me.
Even if I played the map myself in creative mode I would not be able to find them all. Your videos are probably the only source from which someone will be able to find 100% secrets.
Dont care about how you use the loot from them

please use the secrets as I want to see how powerful you can get in the map

you should get to use secrets i reckon, use own judgement on whether you should use it at a specific point to avoid over trivialising the ma

“Connect you to gods wifi” is not something I’ve heard before and I love it. I definitely want to see the secrets, seeing that you used the gold I think it’s just a good idea to use it or selectively use it. Maybe if there’s something specific that doesn’t come from a loot box that is just extremely lower you shouldn’t use.

You know, more and more I'm feeling like you aren't a map maker, Vechs, you're a game developer using Minecraft as your engine.

I would like to see the secrets; but maybe without using the loot?

I say get all secrets and use what you need to use to make things fun and enjoyable.

Use the loot

Get secrets, use the items in them sparingly. I don't wanna forbid you all use of them, but also don't go getting everything and breezing through the map without a sweat. Use whatever feels fair, you know how to make a challenge ;P

Vechs fall near the end is a blunder / feature i learned on skyblocks.

Shift will let you go down partial blocks (like slabs and stairs) but since it already let you get 100% off the block it will kill you.

Basically if you shift on top of a stair, move to the edge, and then move downstairs when you decend half a block you will fall (into the void).

This is also why bridging with slabs is so dangerous in skyblocks, the end, over nether lava lakes, because they can to a glitchy place and change level by half a block and just drop you to your death.

The hippogryphs, if I remember correctly they have hunger which compels them to hunt, and the player is a satisfying meal.
They are a bit tough to tame because of this behavior. Also because they keep flying away. And because dang it you've already eaten six rabbit's feet I don't have any more.

I think it would be cool to see all the secrets, and if you get them you might as well use them. It could be fun to see how the higher-end equipment and magic works

I've played a few super hostiles before, but never done it with a group, this one looks like a good one to introduce the gf and friends to.

First of all, I loved all of your previous maps. I dont have a clear opinion on this one yet, since Im just our of the first location, but I can already say that the mod pack is missing someting... I personally think that it really needs bigger hotbar, or a way to switch between multiple hotbars - like in Factorio. If this is already included, just ignore me :D

Maybe not use secret gear when its an upgrade, but especially for things like spellbooks and later game mob drops, once you have a farm set up, no reason not to use it just to save farming time.

During the grapple section I thought it was 100% intentional and something along the lines of "you dont have to worry about falling grapple can save you" and splat. either way it showes even the tutorials are hostile.

you can search your inventory by double-clicking in the JEI search box

"how hidden is something": Flashing lights aren't enough to make something a 1. You need the architecture of the surrounding area to also actively point towards the thing :P

Oh my god, can you pollute the wayer and make it undrinkable? So the player is limited for the amount of water they can consume

If you told me this during maps like Legendary or Lethamyr i'd be asking you who replaced Veches and why you're dethroning the strongest entity known the man

Fun fact, every blighted mob rolls for armor & weapon, it just won't show up on the model for most mobs
I've fought a blighted cave spider with a sharpness diamond sword and lots of thorns armor before and it sucked

For the topic of how obvious something is, a good way to draw a player's attention to something is with lines
People want to follow lines and see where they go, and there's a lot of good ways to take advantage of that

If you want players to look up you could use vines or a colour-tinted rock face going vertically upwards
If you want players to look in a certain area you could make a 'rope' or bridge of sorts going from a landmark of interest to that area

If you don't want a player to find something, you can use similarly coloured blocks with dark lighting along with uninteresting nearby terrain features

In the context of a CTM gamemode map I get there may be limitations preventing that though, but the huge tree in Legendary's East Commons is a great way to attact player attention, it's a sort-of line going directly upwards, it's huge, it stands out and it's a big land mark so players are drawn towards it thinking it's where they need to go.
Directly in their path towards it however is a series of housing complexes and danger, it may also be turning night for them at this point which prompts them to take shelter or just want to store their valuables in a nearby house anyways before journeying onwards.

From there, the player may choose to explore the nearby town for any valuable loot to assist them in their greater goal, either way let's say they end up at the tree to find nothing there; they might try hacking into it, climbing it or burning it down; realistically finding no wool though.
But since they're at the giant tree's location, it provides a good line of sight to the real dungeon's entrance, as well as not being too far away from the next progression path.

Directing the player matters a lot more than making a big flashing sign in my opinion, since you can make a sign as flashing and big as you want but if nobody goes down the path to see it then it'll never be seen
Likewise you could make the most secretive secret ever, but if you path the player directly into it then it's not going to remain hidden for long~

Ahhhh, I've missed Vechs Derpion. But will we get the return of Fwap'a'derp?

I really want to love this map but it's so overwhelming at the start. Being killed and then having more enemies spawn, so many different mechanics to learn and new recipes, it's really daunting to get into especially with people who aren't familiar with Super Hositle

I used to play SH back with Sunburn Islands, Infernal Sky, SBC 1, etc, but my friends are completely new and found it pretty frustrating
