Che gioia ascoltare Bach diretto in modo così vivo e brillante !! Ne ho ascoltate molte di incisioni del Magnificat ma questa è quella che più mi emoziona. Non vedo l'ora di ascoltare e vedere finalmente dirigere il M° Gardiner a Roma presso l'Auditorium S.Cecilia

Kwella and Argenta were superb in this recording! For me is a reference to any further performances of Bach's Magnificat. What a pity that they could not record the original version with the chorals and the additional anthems

Love that bright crisp D major key and perky tempi..soloists just ok though.

Cet enregistrement de 1983 est une pure merveille et une interprétation de référence. Qualité artistique, qualité de la prise de son : tout y est. Je possède le CD depuis quasiment cette époque et je ne me lasse pas de l'écouter.
