Everyone time I watch WoW videos and they say the usual "When Kil'Jaeden found out the Draeni were hiding on Draenor" I loose it. It just sounds so hilarious. Like "oh my god what?! No way! The Draeni were on Draenoer the whole time?! What an inconspicuous planet. How would I have ever known?"

I'm mostly just a hearthstone player but I've always liked WOW lore.

Wow. I have watched a lot of lore videos on Nobbel87 channel in chronological order. I also recently read the three volumes of Warcraft Chronicle. Now I see how things are. I think I finished the videos covering volume 1. Some of the latest I seen were about night elves especially Illiden. So I think that is the war of the anchients. That was the main event of volume one for me. Now this video is talking about the orcs. So it seems like this is getting into volume two. I think I good name for this time is the opening of the dark portal. The Chronicle refers to this a lot, while describing when other events take place. This event is a lot like the birth of Christ. It splits history into two parts. There is the regular history after the event. Then there is the anchient history before the event. Guldan is an interesting character in the invading orcs. He was the one to get the orcs corrupted by the demons. He was the leader of the first orc warlocks. When Guldan influinces the orcs, the earliest Horde can be set in motion. I look forward to watching more videos. BTW I have seen Illidan holding a skull. I didn't know that was Guldan's skull. This reminds me of Hamlet. Alas poor Guldan. I knew him.

It's fantastic that I can look back at videos this old with that quality, I hope this channel is still alive.

Gul'dan is probably the biggest asshole in Warcraft. Every other villain you can make a case for if you stretch things far enough, can't with Gul'dan.

Gul'dan was not killed by Sargeras in the tombs as WIII says...
He was murdered, judged by betrayal, after escaping the tombs, by Doomhammer's troops .
This is also the main reason why the Horde didnt won the Great Second War... they were splitted in two big factions... guldan's ands doomhammer's forces.
Seeing an opportunity on that, the Alliance striked first, before they could be restored after that rag-tag. And then the portal was destroyed only because that.

Gul'dan is a good villain but very basic. He wants power for the sake of power. A big story like Warcraft only needs one of those.
