This is the watch that got me into GS - I held it for the first time in 2016 at a HODINKEE event in NYC. Fast forward to 2019 and while in Tokyo I find an SBGA125 “blizzard” and I just had to bring it home.
ОтветитьI am not 50 000 for a Seiko watch! You must be insane
ОтветитьThe Philipps auction has ended. this masterpiece SOLD FOR CHF88,200!
ОтветитьRather it not sat Seiko at the top and instead say Grand Seiko
ОтветитьTop
ОтветитьI had no idea the Spring Drive was this clever, they should have called it something more fancy like "RQA" = "RQA Quartz Automatic", the R standing for it's own Recursive acronym.
ОтветитьYou can a Seiko that almost identical to that watch. It won’t say Grand Seiko it will Seiko. You can probably do it for
$500.00. There is very little difference how the two watches work. If the Seiko is à quartz movement it might even keep
better time. I gave my father a Seiko and it lasted over 20 year and was very accurate. Fifty thousands dollars is completely
insane. From a a few feet away you could not tell the difference.
Seeing wannabe intellectuals bicker over who's brand is better is a constant reminder to ignore the comments, at least comments good and bad support the channel's algorithm though!
ОтветитьDid he mention if the case was made of white gold or platinum?
ОтветитьMaybe I should go pick one of these up
ОтветитьWhy are you talking so fast?
ОтветитьThis is one of the finest watchest i've ever seen! Absolutely stunning craftmanship i love it so much. Japan never disappoints. Perfection.
ОтветитьPure inspiration!, I will pick one up in 2023 !.wish me luck!.
ОтветитьWonderful review. I think the 50000 💷 are for the platinum case and diamond dust. Otherwise, why others spring drive movement watches are 6000-10000 💷?some shots in the day light would have been nice to appreciate the dial and see if it worth it.
ОтветитьMax 200 pounds for a Seiko
ОтветитьVintage Seiko Spirits have the same smooth second hand sweep, they’re much thinner and lighter than the Spring Drive
ОтветитьMore like throwing 50K in the gutter due to depreciation.
ОтветитьWow, a Seiko Spring Drive !... not a Grand Seiko branded. 👍
ОтветитьI'd never spend 50k on a watch... let alone a Seiko
ОтветитьIsn't that a rebranded Credor movement?
ОтветитьMr. Hands be spitting beats yo!
Ответитьwtf
ОтветитьAmazing!!
ОтветитьA very Japanese artwork. Pure perfection.
ОтветитьThis GS is insanely great. Just wow. The finish and precision is extreme.
ОтветитьHow about a review of the bulova accutron 214 tuning fork watch from the ,60 s and early 70s surely a great part of watch making history
ОтветитьThank you for another great video
ОтветитьConsidering the movement inside alone, Rolex is no competition at all to GS.
Ответитьthe scene in American Psycho where they are talking about business cards... 🙂 (do I want one? YES! a million times YES! it's stunning)
ОтветитьThis presenter is talking like he’s on speed. Slow down and let us catch up.
ОтветитьDumb question: can I swap the leather strap with a metal band?
ОтветитьNot a chance.
ОтветитьI love your videos.
Ответить50k? Pass
ОтветитьHaha that deep breath before that quick catch up :D
ОтветитьWhat is it about the simplicity of this watch, that I live so much!!??
Other than it’s simplicity!
But it still looks terrible. 50k quartz watch , um no thanks
ОтветитьROLEX? HA HA HA! Rolex is a Walmart Timex up against this watch!
ОтветитьThat looked like a Seiko 5
ОтветитьThis watch actually gave me chills
ОтветитьIf Grand Seiko is what Lexus is to Toyota, this one would be the Century.
ОтветитьWhen he calls diamonds organic I was blown away. the double entendres here are ridiculous...we usually dont see this level of wit anywhere except in the coroners report🎉
ОтветитьThis is a beautiful piece but honestly, I'd choose the SBGY026 at $28k over it even if the prices were equal.
ОтветитьThe only benefit of wearing this watch is that you won't get stabbed and robbed for wearing that in public
Ответить
