No one in their right mind who has cpmmon sense wants to move to Portland, Or Oregon for that matter. Its a dump now.

I love living here. I moved here in 2004.

It's the lush greenery in the Pacific Northwest that attracts people from out of state. I spent two months in the Bay Area and the lack of greenness is notorious. of course there are green spaces there,but there are no pine trees at all. Northern California beginning in Redding and Mt Shasta area is where we start to see dense forests with evergreen trees as we head north on the I-5 corridor.
