In the beginning Good created the heaven and the earth And the earth became without form and void. There are no times listed between "in the beginning"and the first day. This earth time period is less than 10000 years. But no time was given about the first creating of heaven and earth. That could be millions or billions of our years before God needed this earth age

Several other flood myths, creation myths, that parallel the ones in Genesis that are 1000 years older .. Enuma Elish, Atrahasis, epic of gilgamesh, and others. The ancient Jews were like some of the last people to work those myths into their religion.

We know of civilizations all over the world that date back tens of thousands of years

If a global flood happened how did we get all the pharaohs and the fifth and sixth dynasty of Egypt? they couldn't have existed

What about Sargon the great and all the conquests we know about him, we know who all the Kings were at the time in the different nations around there (when the flood was supposed to have happened)

And on and on and on

the Caral culture in Peru (as in South America) built pyramids in 2600 BC) then what about sites like Gobekli tepe from like 11,000 BC and the iconography on those shrines and pillars never show any dinosaurs not even on super ancient cave art from 30 and 40 and 80,000 years ago none of them showed dinosaurs.

In order to believe the biblical chronology as you're pointing out here you have to deliberately ignore tons of major historical events that we have data for, how someone can be a young earth creationist in this day in age is baffling..

At least go to liberal Christianity with channels like "inspiring philosophy" or "council of Trent, " or "Bruce Gore" you tube channels or even "disciple dojo" channel, they all believe in Jesus and consider themselves Christians.. but they're willing to accept factual known history
(they just spend their time making excuses for the evilness of the Old Testament God and all the contradictions in the Bible) and then they just say lots of the other craziness well that was allegory to not hold their God's feet to the fire or to have to admit this of that... and they will keep their Christian faith by doing that. but they are at least living in reality in regards to history and science

The Earth Is 4.543 Billion Years Old

The universe is in upwards of more than twice 13.8 billion years backed up by empirical evidence. Since the earth was created incrementally the first 3 days of creation according to the book of Genesis and the the sun,moon and stars on fourth day would imply the universe is less than 6000 years. By that logic we should be able to see the act of creation in every direction out at radius of 6000 light years totally with in the confines of the Milky Way galaxy. Anything beyond that would not be sees yet. Science is the pursuit of evidence in which empirical events is already established. The Bible is a blind claim that has no proof of its validity.

Age of this earth matters not, unless your looking for reasononing for the naively undiscerning sinning inhabitants governing it..

Dude missing a huge point the Bible was written by a group of men hell bent on getting people to follow them. They took books and stories out of the original Hebrew writings of what we call the Bible. Just the fact the Bible left out important part of what was said or happened back then so technically u can't count on the Bible as much as u can't count on Egyptian history. Death was always a part of life it isn't a punishment it never was its always been a part of life. It's the length of life before u die that changed. If we take the timeframes of the bible seriously then the universe was created in a week. It also says that the earth was created before the sun.

Matthew and Luke traced Jesus through different parents, one his mother, one his father.

The big discrepancy is between the Hebrew Maseretic text and the Greek Septuagint which gives about 600 year difference covered in the video I posted below.

I’m an atheist through and through. I thought maybe this video could shed some light on why Christians believe an old book over the evidence of today. I walk away with a firm understanding that any Christian who tries to “prove” Christianity, is a perfect example of confirmation bias. When presented with the argument of carbon dating (a concept of telling time that was discovered, hypothesized, and proven naturally by scientist), this man said that because the flood happened, you can’t trust carbon dating past 5000 years. That’s not a valid argument. You must first prove that the flood happened before you try and use it to discredit something that has been proven. Your bias allows you to believe one man built a boat large enough to save every single animal on the planet, and then all those animals repopulated without severe birth defects. But the observable process of atomic decay is too big of a leap for you. Ultimately carbon is not the only reason why we think the Earth is over 4 billion years old. Mapping out tectonic plate shifts with fossil records tells us what direction tectonic plates have been shifting and for how long, which (spoiler warning) is much longer than 6000 years. Not to mention archaeology. The layers of sediment within the earths crust tell us how old it is much like the rings of a tree. We can see just about every era. From Ice Age to Ice Age, the crust remembers it all. I’d say the biggest nail in the coffin is the universe itself. We can disagree on how old the universe is, but the truth is when we look to the stars, we see young and old stars. We see nebula, giving birth to new stars those new stars facilitating the formation of new planets. Those new planets take millions of years to form. We can say definitively that the time scale for just the birth of planets like Earth is in the millions of years. But despite all this evidence, despite all that we can see when we look closely at our surroundings. There are those who would rather trust a book written by men who couldn’t even explain why it rains.

We have to remember Days in the Bible don't mean litteraly days but timeframe. There part of the Bible when God says I give you 7 days with each day valuing 1 year. A DAY is a step, Days existed before the Sun. Day is about God not about the Sun. A Day a renewing for exemple Day 1 earth Day 2 fishes etc...

Genesis 1 and 2 covers thousands of millions of years. A day is a figurative period of time.
I think the time stamp starts with Adam and Eve. Genealogy goes back to Adam and Eve, not the start of the universe.

People existed before Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were created genetically from a pre-existing human species.
Put Adam into a deep sleep (anaesthesia) removed a rib and genetically engineered Eve.

Up until around the mid 1800’s, no one believed nor taught the age of the earth was millions or billions of years old. It’s only because children are taught evolution so it’s all they know.

The bible is a salvation book. About a loving God who sent his only begotten to come and redeem mankind. It should never be used to explain any other subjects it was never designed for. It is not a history, geography, or astronomy book.

So a book full of inconsistencies, fallacies and outright untruths written by anonymous authors, edited and abridged multiple times is more accurate than thousands of educated scholars, scientists and the wealth of human knowledge? Please forgive my scepticism.

What about just before the flood of Noah when God said in the Bible that the life of mankind would only be 120 years? Are you praposing that man can defy Gods word that man cant live longer than 120 years? Genesis 6:3

There's something in common everytime i have a conversation with christians, they cannot grasp jumping timeline, everytime i want them to share their story from their past, present, future, they'll get confused, idk why, they can only digest past time frame, present time frame, future time frame, separately.

Same as fullfilling of the holy book. By logic, it can only fulfilled after we defeat the devil. Have we? Why christianity thinks that we already won?
