I sprayed it at 5 in the morning to give it time to dry it is 3 in the afternoo just got back from work and they are very shiny because of the oil in concerned they will burn up

Instead of olive oil add same quantity of neem oil and see the difference.

Did you add vinegar to the orange peel repellent? I hear soap and oil is passible too. I'm going to try both.

Soap and water will work the same, oil doesn't need to be added

Dishwash soap is itself chemical, but still it's better than toxic ones..

Question I have fungus gnats & they got into my soil so I've gotten those mosquito bits that say it's "natural" for food plants.. Is it really natural stuff? I also use food grade diatomaceous earth

Don't use dish soap it will cause delicate plants to drop leaves.

Use Dr. Woods Tea Tree Liquid Castile Soap and peppermint soap.

I will try it. Dumb question I live in texas weather can get super hot. Putting the olive oil wouldn’t it harm the leaves? Ill try it though. I just started gardening and have been noticing bugs on my lilies and petunias and cilantro. I see the store bought sprays and the chemicals they use 😔 so sad. Anyway thnk you

Most mild dish soaps are safe to use on plants, but if you're concerned, you can use a much better alternative which is Castille soap. The oil is merely to help the solution coat the leaves better; it also coats the soft bodies of soft-bodied bugs like aphids and mites, and it suffocates them because they are unable to breathe through their pores.

Well to be fair there are petrochemicals in the dish soap unless it's plant bases dish soap
