Why does California's Economy Suck Despite It Being The Largest In The United States?

Did you know that despite California having a gdp of 2.7 trillion which is the biggest of any state, if you are wondering, texas comes in second at 2.1 trillion, Wallet Hub ranked it all the way down at 4th place in their ranking of state economies? Why the discrepancy? Well the california scored 32 in the economic health category because it struggles so much with unemployment, poverty, homelelessness and foreclosures.
