In only a matter of months the 3.0% goal post has moved. Ironically, this speech coincided with the Vilnius Summit(conveniently unreported) where the Eastern Europeans and nordics called for 5% with a 3.5% on pure military support. Denmark lamented the truth, that this talk of spending is too late. Once the sugar high of this speech wears off, the cold reality that British rhetoric never matches reality will set in for those who chose to day dream.
