would it have gone anywhere do you think?
ОтветитьIt looks really shiny for a century old gun - almost like it was machined out of Stainless Steel.
Which is pretty damn odd for 1902, 'cause though they had Chromium Steel, modern Stainless Steel with Chromium, Nickel, Manganese (& a bunch of other things) wasn't invented until 'round 1911 by experimenters like Guillet of France.
I'd also really like to see the blueprints & design notes of this thing. It would be fascinating to see the trial & error that went into it, as it does seem to have some revolutionary ideas for the time.
It's the creativity & engineering of the weapons manufacturers, which truly fascinates me the most about them.
That is a very elegant looking gun shaped object.
Ответитьthat's in remarkable shape for 1903
ОтветитьThis is actual gun porn dude..
ОтветитьThis gun is built with such simplicity and grace that hearing Ian say "...1903" was startling. It wouldn't be out of place at all among WWII era experimental pistols. Truly a sight to behold
ОтветитьThe steam punk pinnacle! 😲
ОтветитьCould definitely be converted into a very cool film prop!
ОтветитьWow I never even knew Ross made other weapon
Ответить.45 Ross .874" case, 1.274" overall length .
ОтветитьAnd you thought the luger toggle action was funky...
ОтветитьSomeone should 3D print this.
ОтветитьJesus, I thought it was small, because it looked kind of barebones, but damn, its huge.
ОтветитьI think this gun shaped thing is beautiful. The frame sleeve around the barrel and the magazine doubling as the handle. It sure would be something to see the toggle action in action.
ОтветитьSoon Ian will present us the IMCK (Ian Mackullen) automatic pistol, former Ross experimental pistol...
ОтветитьReminds me of the White-Merril a bit, aesthetically.
ОтветитьSuch a neat looking prototype, especially since most look blocky, boring or unsophisticated. This one started out svelte!
ОтветитьThis is my new favorite pistol
ОтветитьBeautiful idea. I wonder about the spent cartridge exit path? Extraction is relatively easy. Reliable ejection is not with large calibers.
Ответить1903 semiauto 45 race gun
ОтветитьProprietary ammunition, there was never a time when that wasn't considered a dick move.
ОтветитьIf that thing had been finished then I think we'd have been using them for a long time. It is a beauty.
ОтветитьI wanna make a video game in an alternate universe where all the guns are like this... Only weird odd ball unique guns and prototypes.
Ответить45 Ross remix is my shit
ОтветитьGorgeous workmanship. A piece of art. Even if they couldn't get it to work.
ОтветитьIts like if a Luger and a beretta 92 had a beautiful yet slightly retarded child
ОтветитьWho is here after watching the ytp
ОтветитьBefore the 1908 Lugar
ОтветитьLuger
ОтветитьI bet you this was would be a soft shooting pistol
ОтветитьLove these old auto pistol videos. So interesting!
Ответитьfrom a distance it looks like a modern race gun without the red dot on.
ОтветитьIt's amazing the level of detail they could create back then. Just a piece of art. Funny the magazine only fits so few it looks so far ahead of its time
ОтветитьI was not prepared for that magazine, i thought that it was just sideplates
ОтветитьThe Canadian Luger
ОтветитьHow cool ! So unique ! ! Love the concept - looks like it would be fun to shoot ! ! Shame it went no where - thanks for showing us 🙂😎👍
ОтветитьAnd now in canada you cant own or buy this beautiful piece of our countries history.
ОтветитьCursed luger
ОтветитьLovely machined hand-cannon. Shame it doesn't work.
ОтветитьLooks like it belongs in Star Wars.
ОтветитьDamn, this is prime Battlefield 1 material. Seeing how DICE could have fleshed it out would have been super cool. It’s an intriguing action, and Battlefield 1’s appeal to me is it’s ignorance of historical accuracy in favour of on wacky experimental weapons, from before the basics were figured out.
ОтветитьThis look really cool i like the mag as the grips
ОтветитьDamn, I really wish there was a completed, functional version of this gun. That mechanism is so cool.
ОтветитьNow that’s a forgotten weapon!
ОтветитьIf someone could get this working, this would be one of the sickest pistols on the market, this looks like something straight out of Cyberpunk!
ОтветитьIt looks very clunky and clumsy. It would have never made it into mass production. Nice try anyway. The 1911 colt is vastly superior.
ОтветитьLooks like it belongs in a star wars scean.
ОтветитьIf it was a blow forward gun it would easily be able to close the action and recock the next round. I've been watching too many of these videos 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьThis pistol is mostly barrel lol.
ОтветитьThis is one of the few videos I didn't see when released. I had the same idea in 2000, a reverse Luger to get rid of the pair of extensions (the fork) to let all the work on the chamber area. But I was thinking on a rifle or a sub machinegun firing something as powerful as a 45 Winchester Magnun or 10 mm.
Good to see I am not so stupid.
