OP... that is the stupidest song for a video ever.
ОтветитьWhatevas!! This vid comes from a hapa point of view. Probably Filipino-Chinese mix. Real Hawaiians don't act this way. Take a look around, over 93%of HI is hapa.
ОтветитьSo funny and off, yes believe da haole, that why we no like idiots in Hawai'i nei.
ОтветитьI got to say when I went to Kauai there were lots of no trespassing signs, no beach access no parking ,private property stay or keep out not very welcoming to say the least. And there is a great difference between very rich and poor people on Kauai .Food was 2 to 3x times the price and all natives get food stamps.
Ответитьnot to be rude, but white people treat foreigners like this. when white people do it its okay, but God forbid someone make a white person feel unwelcome!
Ответитьthis isn't something that should be on utube I never been to Hawaii I don't get it I am American..but I think we should all just get along..i don't think I have any issues living their and if they treat me like dirt I just ignore them and do my thing. I wouldn't let it get to me..that their problem not mine.i am very respectful to anybody and everyone I have no problem with color or race. this is almost a theat video which isn't appropriate needs to be reported
ОтветитьNot like this in hawaii.
ОтветитьThis might have been HIS experience / and people die every day. I was a 5 year old military brat kindergarten kid when I first arrived / Wai'anae Elementary and the only haole there. Being from a large family and all alone at school. I got my lickings in real good, but got along just fine with all my local friends. Took hula down da street with them, grew up with no prejudice / EXCEPT / for the "white" race and world history. I'm Irish / Lithuanian. Raised in the Islands, had my daughter there, miss it dearly and think you should get da facts, brah.
The USA annexed a Kingdom of Hawai'i. In the name of eminent domain / it was illegal to named your child a Hawai'ian name / could not even register it at the mighty Territory / State Offices or schools / speak your language / no hula, no chanting / Nada. Like the Eskimos and the native peoples of the Americas / rename the kids some stinking English name, take them from their parents and traditions and culture.
And YOU HAVE A PROBLEM? No like live there / don't. Go away. Kamaka Ma'oli.
Yah stay where u at hoales we no need your disrespectful asses here show respect and you'll be respected in return act like you better than us and get Fawked up welcome to hawaii dis not da mainland
ОтветитьHaole actually means no breath. ole meaning no and ha meaning breath.
ОтветитьAnd the locals are only "rude" because all the "outsiders" (not all) come to Hawai'i thinking they're smarter than the locals, or more high in demand than the locals. If we was to go to another island and act like us Hawaiians rule or are better than everyone else, we'd get the same treatment those big headed "outsiders" get. Respect comes a long way. You got to show it to receive it.
ОтветитьPretty much everything before the "Hawaii is expensive" remark is untrue. White people will most likely be called "haole." But that's what you are, and it's okay. It's okay to be haole. Most Hawaiians are part haole. (Probably around 95% of Hawaiians are mixed.) There's a difference between a "haole" and a "f-ing haole." F-ing haoles just don't know they're being f-ing haoles. Similarly, f-ing Hawaiians don't know they're being f-ing Hawaiians. There's good and bad of every one and every kind. If you come to Hawaii with aloha in your heart, not fear or prejudice (which is what this video breeds), then you will receive aloha. Btw, holyhaulie, it was white people that first brought hate and prejudice to Hawaii, and they did it under the guise of religion. That, is a true story.
ОтветитьWow, sounds like you're full of hate yourself. Not to mention fear-mongering. I choose not to live in fear, and I choose to love all equally. My experience in Hawaii was nothing like that. I met only friendly people, (natives included) who wanted to help me in any way possible. I guess the big Island is different from the rest, or my love and respect for all humans determines how they treat me. I'm sorry you had trouble there, but I would guess with that attitude, you have trouble anywhere you go. One love... one people... one spirit.
ОтветитьDear Julie. Perhaps your bad Hawaiian experience was caused by an arrogance that is often exhibited by newcomers. Did you even understand the term Haoli? And learn to spell it. The first haoli newcomer to experience the Hawaiians reaction to haoli arrogance was Capt. Cook. He visited Hawaii to witness the transit of Venus and further his navigational knowledge. Did he communicate with the Hawaiian people on this subject who happened
To be the greatest navigators in the world. He looked at them as ignorant savages. During World War Two The Islands were inundated with Midwest farm boy soldiers who again exhibited an an unwitting arrogance. not to mention The Honolulu business men who stripped Queen Liliuokalani of her powers and Throne. The Hawaiian Language was also taken from them by the haoli Missionaries. And on and on. This could be a thesis. I'm sure you get the picture. For the most part The Hawaiian people are amazingly hospitable and generous. Read Isabella Bird. She galloped around the Island of Hawaii on Her horse. Often alone and was given a bed or sleeping space by the Hawaiian people no matter how poor they were. As was Ellis the first Missionary.
ALOHA
Well... damn... i wanted to move to Hawaii, but now I'm rethinking this. I'm full mexican, but I look completely white (thanks spaniards for invading mexico...) ugh I have very fair skin (can't tan), light brown hair, blue eyes, and freckles.... even my own people have a hard time believing I'm Mexican until they meet my family lol. I love hawaii, it's so beautiful... but I don't want my kids to be bullied or get beat up. They look white too!! Ugh... i guess ill just vacation there and live in LA. We took over LA, I'll just stick to living with latinos lol.
The thing that irritates me though is that 90% of the people who claim hawaiian aren't even hawaiian. They're Japanese, samoan, tongan, filipino, or a mix of those or they're brazilian Polynesia mix....
Do locals still hate you or call you haole if you're white but not american???
ОтветитьOk there is no or ever was a kill haole day, you wont get beaten up just for being white. This video is full of shit!!
ОтветитьYour ridiculous man, I went to Hawaii on a rugby trip I'm Native American but I look full white and I received nothing but love. They're all so friendly and nice. Give them respect an you'll get respect back, good lesson to learn in life.
ОтветитьIt's mainly because people are fucking sick and tired of White men arrogant ass behaviors.
ОтветитьWe have never experienced any on this this on the Big Island. Absolutely none of it. If you're an a-hole, then you get what you deserve just like anywhere. But nothing in this video is at all accurate.
ОтветитьI came to Honolulu 31 years ago from Idaho (and I am white). This video is crap! I have never felt discriminated against for being white. The only thing that is true in this video is the high cost of living. I would love to know what happened to the person who made this video to be so hateful or/and how he treated the local bruddahs & sistahs! There are good & bad of ALL races.
ОтветитьI can't wait to move there ;) Oh and calling someone Haole is not even 1% close to calling someone the N word. The N word has hundreds of years of oppression, abuse and genocide attached to it. Check your white privilege and arrogant/white savior attitude at the door and you will be fine.
Ответитьbig whoop, now white people will know how it feels to live on mainland america for anyone who isn't white lmao. i can't really shed a tear if you guys. if they don't like it they can go back to the mainland.
ОтветитьGood! I think EVERY White american needs to go to Hawaii, so they will know how it feels to be discriminated!!!!!!!!!!! Karma is a bitch!!!! and i don't feel sorry for them.
Ответитьor you can continue to live in Cleveland with a white population of 26% and get continually picked on and harassed while shoveling 3 feet of snow
Ответить1. It is spelt ha'ole with an okina
2. It means no ha or breath of life. The ha is used like a hug in hawaii but u probably dont know that
3. Thank you for keeping people away from my homeland
Yes this video is very true.... very very racist... and whats messed up is most of the islanders are doped up on meth... and they are racist againts whites and a little less against blacks I lived on 2 of there islands for three years... they will not let u walk with pride
ОтветитьYes this video is very true.... very very racist... and whats messed up is most of the islanders are doped up on meth... and they are racist againts whites and a little less against blacks I lived on 2 of there islands for three years... they will not let u walk with pride
ОтветитьLanai in Hawaii is a good island to live on
ОтветитьScott H thanks for calming me down into a state of reasonableness.I don't want to pass more hate around but I would like to feel safe when I visit the Islands. Just left Maui after 8 days of bliss. I didn't steal anyones land,it wasn't me,if I did I would be living there. Aloha and Peace
ОтветитьNow you know how it feels to not be wanted...when me and my family moved from the philippines to Nevada, all you guys did was hate and told us to go back...now how do you like it
ОтветитьHawaii isn't racist just saying. I'm a Hawaiian and we aren't racist. We just get mad when you mock our local values like "flip flops" no they're slippers, when you say we wear coconut bras and grass skirts and live in grass shacks just no don't do it. We are an upset nation due to lack of research in you guys. So this is really on you guys
Ответитьlol. and the victimization continues! not all white people in the mainland are assholes. not all hawaiians are assholes. people are people.
ОтветитьI visited Hawaii only once in the 1990's (Maui) and stayed for only 10 days and experienced only kindness and helpfulness. I thought the people were great. I travelled all over the island in my rented car and tried to experience as much as I could among local people. Again, I found the people great.
ОтветитьIt will get better once the USA gives Hawaii back to its people, all the different races there were primarily brought in for cheap labor , The missionaries were bad for Hawaiians as is most all religions - Christianity is a religion, so is Islam and now we have Wars and rumors of Wars etc... too bad for the Haoles , Oh well better you stay home
ОтветитьIf youre hawaiin and looking for someone to blame, come here and march on the damn government. THEY are the greed-monger tyrants, not ordinary mainland citizens. Hawaii deserves its independence from the U.S. traitorous illegal rule. All people in the U.S. (Hawaii included) are under tyrannical takeover whether they are ignorant to it or not. I am not proud to be born in a country founded on genicide and illegal land grabs. Sadly humans (OF ALL RACES) have been doing that to one another for millenia. Hatred will only fuel more of the same. Educate, tolerate, unify- and evolve past this lowest of human flaws.
ОтветитьSo white people are treated like black people in Hawaii, huh? Good, so now they will know what it is like to be discriminated against.
Ответитьcrazy how I've never been racist towards minorities but seeing all the thumbs down over a heads up where I might be discriminated against is a big eye opener.
ОтветитьSo you are basically saying the locals are racist? Just a question. Are you actually saying that all locals are racist and violent? Give me a break. Hatred is ugly...give YOUR life to the Lord. God Bless
Ответитьit's not the damn serious...there is some places you may go as a haole...and some you may not...Also be aware of gangs out there. Some are just against haoles and/or popolo.
ОтветитьI lived in Hawaii, went to UH on Manoa campus. I would drive down Waikiki at night and locals would spit at me thru my open window. Would get yelled at and threatened at the beach, they would harass my blonde haired girlfriend. Little 10 year old kids would yell at me to get out of the water because their big Samoan uncles were on the beach. Some of the worst racism was by the Japanese older women that would show such hate much hate thrutheir eyes and hateful words. The Hawaiians complain about the U.S., don't say anything about the Japanese who are the bigest population on the Island.
ОтветитьForgot to add was on golf team and the coach Ed Chui was so biased against whites.
ОтветитьI am white and I AM MOVING TO HAWAII
ОтветитьI've traveled the world and Kauai is the worst destination
Ответитьlol where to send non-melanin folk's
ОтветитьPreaching against hate while hating on the Hawaii locals and Hawaiians, get a fucking grip! You come here with a shitty attitude expect to get it in return, this video is pure shit!
Ответитьwhite people need to stop moving to Hawaii
hawaii is just a small islands
This is funny. Lol.
ОтветитьIf you respect us we respect you us Hawaiians give aloha
ОтветитьYes, whites stay out of Hawaii, New Mexico, California, Arizona, Nevada, and Colorado
Ответить
