TA's product has always shown a strong determination and enthusiasm in dirt spec. As Tomley thinks TA is gd, and it's really not bad. Let's see I will probably buy an apex2 car as my last 1-10-scale-and-above RC car and tribute to Block and TA next month. My room is full.

I've been looking for a 1/14th scale car for a project and this is interesting if a bit more expensive than the Chinese stuff.

The exposed spur is very disappointing, tbh it's just asking for shit to get into your spur and ruin it.

Transmissions on off road rcs should be as sealed as possible.

I'm a novice rc guy but since I started in rc I've traded in speed for durability. Fast is cool and all, but I can't afford buying parts constantly because of it. The more tourche the faster it wears out gears. I'm happy with a slower little basher that's reliable.

It looks like a great little truck, It's terrible. Every time I see you test something good, like this one, I a very tempted to buy one. I am just joking. You ran the little guy very hard. I have watched two other vides where they did some extreme jumping. The truck survived very well, but the servo quit. In one case I believe AMain sent them a new one. Keep up good work1

I do like this truck, super fast and tough. The parts I don’t like about it are the plastic gears and the locked ESC. This truck could really benefit from a softer brake and more punch 👍

Random question, how common is it for RC cars to have a gyro sensor they use to stabilize the car / steering? I've seen it on RWD drift cars, and some Traxxas models, but is it rare or common?

Ok, I have to add that I just recently purchased the 14b gamma, which was a new offering just before the MT, and I’ve had a blast with it up until recently. The stock electrics are crap, went through a servo, for no reason it just quit, good luck trying to find a better one that fits, not gonna happen, than the motor mount can’t take a larger pinion than stock, good luck finding another in 18, 19, or 20 that will work with the smaller spur.
I really love the concept of this car and it’s just the perfect size to run out in front of your house or to take on vacation, but all the parts have to be purchased through AE, and optional stuff just isn’t there, so if you like to tinker, forget about it. Honestly from what I have seen, the LC Racing cars in this size are better for the money. Not quite there AE. Thanks.

Because they already have a Reflex platform for 14th scale cars. I have Reflex 14B with a castle system that can run 3S and it's bonkers fast. Fun little cars.

Great review. Unfortunately AE motor mount for the 14th scale cars is one of the worst designs IMO. They should’ve changed it from the 14T & 14B

The Mt 10 spur stripped twice on my machine,mainly because the motor mount is too thin,(Bends)and the spur is plastic.similar set up with this Little Mt 14 .Other than that MT10 has enabled me to avoid my anger management course.Just hoping an aftermarket company releases a tough motor mount and steel spur.✌️

I believe it is called the 14mt because TA’s other 14th scale cars have the letters after the the 14. Not sure if this is correct though. But awesome video man!

Tomley - if I can only get one, is it MT10 or MT14? I like the smaller size of the 14, looks more nimble as a driver’s car, and 14 being a chunk less expensive helps. But looks like mt10 is the clear better option. Thoughts?

It's the motor mesh. They don't mesh them properly from the factory, for some reason they don't put the pinion and spur square together and it strips the spur. I have one and exactly same story, used the spare spur and I was like wow!!!!

Some of these cheap so called junk rc cars everyone moans about are actually pretty amazing. Mjx hypergo, £120 no brainer really

GPM makes a metal spur gear for it. You will have to change to a Mod 1 pinion. It's a little louder with the Mod 1 gears but it's bulletproof3. You can skate park bash the nuts off it, lol.

How does it compare to the Traxxas 1/16 e revo? I would like to see a video comparing them out in the grass ,dirt , and gravel . I want a new small scale I just don’t know which one.

The problem is that you don’t even know how to drive right.
After a hundred of rc videos you cannot do a simple backflip…

The probably call it the 14mt because it's on the same chassis as the 14b.

i'm still on the hunt for a smaller basher as the MT10 is just too much money for me right now. it's sad, this 14 ticked all the right boxes except it doesnt come with a battery and that stupid gear hanging out the bottom just invites dirt and will fail in just a few runs. for $199 the hyper go is the way to go, BUT it has flaws as well. i'm still waiting for a <$200 basher that won't need parts just after a few runs.

It’s named thr 14mt because it’s a Reflex, not a Rival. The reflex line of buggies and truggies are thr 14B and 14T, and since this is a reflex, built off that chassis, it’s the reflex 14MT. The 1/8 scale and 1/10 scale trucks are called Rival, so they share a naming standard with each other.
