If it was up to players, he would've been unbanned a long time ago – important to remember before generalizing or being an asshole to an entire group of people (that, in reality, are just like FGC folk), so stop thinking your blanketed/ignorant hatred of smash won't go unchecked.

The community must reckon with how it participated in the alienation of a person who eventually chose to make the ultimate decision. We cannot abdicate Hax from his own choice. There were clearly mental health issues that went well beyond video games. Most people would have searched for a new way of life and for new meaning. However, just because people don’t have responsibility over the death doesn’t mean they shouldn’t account for broad moral failings. Technicals is a critique and he makes his community confront those failings. Blaming him for making those failings explicit is absurd. Hopefully he beats the lawsuit and can continue holding people accountable for their actions.

The smash community is always in rare mess... I always thought that Leffen had the talent to be good in others games and I was right. He really good in GG now. I don't know the background story but the best for him is to leave that community behind once and for all. There is no future on it anyway. All the other games actually paid more than that Nintendo party game.

I know nothing about the Smash Community but I know one thing to be true. This Technical dude cooked the other one. Those are the facts no matter how you slice it.

There’s so many things that can be fixed or have heat put off of by just saying things like “I’m sorry. I believed the wrong person.” (Regarding Zero) or “Looking back on my past behavior, I made mistakes that I wish I could fix.” (Regarding Hax and many other things) but Leff just for whatever reason, doesn’t. It’s like the idea of him being wrong about something is completely unfathomable to him. If he could just swallow his pride in addition to taking a very long break from, if not completely cut off, social media, he’d be a much better and happier person.

Have to disagree with some points. For those that have been falsely accused, they live with those accusations forever and nothing changes. No apologies, no nothing. They are still banned and or tarnished reputations. It becomes real over time. They can never be exonerated. Spite rules all. These people don't care about the truth they care about the messenger. They don't like you as a person, you might as well be guilty of everything. These types of people "should" be held accountable, but they are the majority, and most people will turn a blind eye to something they know is morally wrong to fit in.

I saw that video of Technicals announcing he’s apparently got sued and I laughed. Not because he’s getting sued- that part is insane. But it’s another example of the Smash community using someone else, Tech specifically, as a scapegoat for their issues. They’ll blame pretty much everyone else besides themselves. They always pick one person to make into their pariah whenever a garbage fire is too large and act like the issue is solved and protect their buddies who helped make it that big instead of looking into who started throwing more garbage into the fire to help it get that big and making sure no one lights more garbage fires.
