Great coverage of Project X. I miss Popular Hot Rodding magazine
ОтветитьI loved that movie and the cars but I still gotta give the hottest award to Michelle Pheifer…boy was she cute 😍😍😂😂
ОтветитьThe blown 283 was the coolest. 😎
ОтветитьProject X's manager saw what happened to Budweiser so he threw the most bad ass Chevy engine he could find in it so now he thinks he's totally redeemed himself.
ОтветитьI didn't see the "Christine" red Plymouth fury in your line up? Or the GTO in My science project 🤔
ОтветитьThe idiots should have left it alone after the Movie!!! Always some jack ** that thinks he knows better than everyone else. Use another car for your Pathetic and ugly make overs!!! You aint ever going to top the car and the Cars looks from the Movie.
ОтветитьOh, how fun it was to do some good old-fashioned hot roding when we're young to show off our rides, talk shop about modification we did to engine, transmission etc etc just like this sweet 57 chevy bel air in the movie hollywood knights is exactly how we see our older generations were doing everything to make cars go much faster then stock just like today's young men and women are still keeps the love of cars going anyway my friend as usual thanks for the video and have a nice week bye now. P.S. Hey CarStarz did you notice my challenge for a movie where some young man was determined to do a stunt because he lost his dad while attempting it and now wants to do in his memory so you are intrigued by my comment 🤔.
ОтветитьI thought the body and interior mods performed in 07 were a little gaudy, but the EV conversion was just plain insulting…
ОтветитьDamn good movie, always wondered what that smoke was about.
Ответитьthe motor blew in the movie, can see the white smoke in the film
ОтветитьYou should do a where are the cars from the Hollywood Knights movie, Pie Wagon, GTO, ElCamino, the customized club car, T-bucket aka "railjob"
Ответить🤣 I just love how everybody on here so triggered is when they experimented with an electric motor even though it’s probably one of the fastest versions of the car but it’s like who f🤬king gives a shit it’s not your car! I mean honestly if I had a 57 Chevy it wouldn’t be switched over to EV but like the video says it’s an experimental car and they were experimenting with batteries!! People gotta stop being such snowflakes. Geez, and u guys complain about the left being snowflakes!! Christ almighty!!
ОтветитьTHANK YOU SO MUCH. I LOVE PROJECT X!!!!!
ОтветитьI like it very sweet 👍👍👍👍👍😁
ОтветитьRear fender wells went from being cut out to not cut out
Ответить"Project X" is now "Project Cucked" since the GM did the Pro Touring. HRT helped bring it back to normal, but I hear it's going EV now???
Looool
Just ran across your channel. Love the video's so far. Good Job.
But, your "Fact #8" is incorrect. Tony Danza did not blow 2 engines during filming. He did damage the car though. Tony had trouble learning to shift the car. Van Nuys Blvd back in those days had drainage dips at every intersection. The scenes they shot during the "Cruising" parts were shot on VNB. Race scenes were shot on a another block a few blocks over that didn't have the dips at the intersections. During one cruise they were filming, as Tony was coming up to an intersection going through the dip, he slowed down to down shift, accidentally dropped the clutch, which popped the front end of the car up and slamming it back down on the roadway causing a pulley to the blower to shatter. It took them a week to find the right pulley for that set up to get the belt back on to get car running again. Remember, this was 1979-80, they couldn't just get on the internet and order one. 😁
What you see in the movie with the puff of smoke coming from the engine was not the engine blowing. That was not Tony Danza driving it either. It was one those Guys that built it who was doing the race scenes for the movie. All that was was the upper radiator hose blowing off and radiator fluid flying across the top of the car. Pay close attention to the scene. It's a mist coming off the top of the motor only. Blown engines usually have heavy smoke coming out from all over the front end. Top, under it, wheel wells, smoke everywhere from oil being flung all over the hot motor.
They did blow the engine on the Cobra though. That's why you rarely see the Cobra. It was blown on the second take of the race with Project X. They filmed the race with the Rail Job first to not push the car hard for the Rail Job to win. Pushed it hard to race Project X and that's when the engine blew.
There's an article written back in the 90's that covers all this. It came from the 2 Guys that built Project X originally for Peterson Publishing. They were there managing Project X during the whole filming of The Hollywood Knights. It's in an old Popular Hot Rodding issue I think. It's online here somewhere. I'll try and find it again.
affordable auto trends.
Ответитьput a 8 71 blower on the 632.
ОтветитьUnreal that Tony got to drive and Michelle got to ride in Project X!!!
ОтветитьAnybody remembers the other Pop Rod mag cars, project 32 and project Mopar?
ОтветитьThank God the car is being returned back to its former glory. Junked that EV garbage.
ОтветитьI'm old enough to remember when they purchased Project X and it first appeared in the magazine. Installing the Oldsmobile rear axle, modifying the rear wheel openings and using electrical conduit to get the rounded edge on the wheel opening of the rear quarterpanels. If I remember correctly GM went through the car. Complete suspension update was one part of it. First time I ever heard of a car being digitized with a computer. I could be incorrect in the terminology.
ОтветитьSHOULD PUT A BLOWER BACK ON IT. ITS ICONIC LOOK BACK THEN MADE THE CAR
Ответить$700.00 I could buy 10 of them right now.😪
ОтветитьAnyone out there know what happened to the 40 ford coupe from the scene where jimmy shine was getting a going away gift.
ОтветитьI drove jet cars in the super Chevy show tour starting in 2000 that car was on tour with Chevy magazine Tony Kelly and had at many races I got to actually make a pass in the car at Maple Grove Dragway, it was beyond an honor and I did a burnout past the Christmas tree much to his dismay
Ответить🏆Cool car🏆very famous 👀✌️
ОтветитьI can't believe that they bought this for $700. when they where working on this car
ОтветитьThankfully they took out that EV junk and made it back into a real car again!
ОтветитьThe Hollywood Knights era Project X was PERFECT. Should never have been touched.
ОтветитьI really do not like blower cars, but this has to have one, minus the hood.
ОтветитьThe woke electric car was a complete fail.
ОтветитьThe oversized clown shoe rims and rubber band tires look stupidazphuk.
ОтветитьThe car is terrific. But honestly, I was fortunate to grow up and "cruise" Van Nuys Blvd in the 60's and there were a lot of cars as good or better on the streets then. Larry Dixon's 55 green chevy, Picketts 62 blown corvette, etc.
ОтветитьHow sad to hear the car is electric . That is screwed up
ОтветитьThe. Black. Car. U. Showed. Was. A. Coupe. The. Yellow. Car. Is a. 2. Door. Post. Model.
ОтветитьI never knew that was the "project X" Chevy.
ОтветитьI love the 427..
Ответитьsadly, i cut up a near perfect original black paint '57 to mimic project X in early 80's, but life got in the way and the car and all parts were sold off, one of my biggest regrets.
ОтветитьWhy couldn't they have kept the wheel arches? That was one of its most distinctive features.
ОтветитьA yuppy with money has destroyed the car
ОтветитьTurning a classic car like that into an electric powered vehicle is a straight out crime against all things that rolled off the assembly lines in detroit. Dammit if you want electric, then build something new, but don't take a gas-powered classic car to do it with.
ОтветитьMy Dick Is In The Punch!!!!!
ОтветитьFREAKING AWESOME A 632
ОтветитьThey lost me at Eletric, bye
Ответить
