Some people need to get a secured card to start because they don't have good credit yet to get an unsecured card. Like she said, Discover is a good secured card option for 6 months of full and on time payments, apply for an unsecured card and close the secured card and get your money back.

I have a capital one platinum secured credit card for 1yr 7 months 100% on time payments still didn’t get my secured deposit back. But they was offering me a better card with cash back rewards but I didn’t except it because I want to get the first one unsecured.

After obtaining cc with huge balances. How are u able to pay monthly payments especially if u invested in project that may take 6mth+ to see a return.

Discover is amazing!! My first CC which was secured. A couple of months after opening they returned the $ and graduated me, continuously doubling my limit. Started w/$300 and now its $6,600
