Who were the Funtime Animatronics? (Afton's Murder Machines)

I have a little theory that wouldn’t change anything major but could explain why Freddy takes over the amalgam after Baby is ejected. The detail of the child in Freddy’s stomach on the blueprint, whether it’s possession or the more likely option of Agony (Count the Ways and Freddy’s overall chaoticness making the Agony side the more likely option), that child gave Freddy “power” so to speak. This agony or possession would mean he would be on par with Baby, able to truly think outside of his programming to a degree and, if agony, would only fuel the insanity that drives him. That would also be why he took over, he’s the only one without just base programming that’s practically useless in their current state.

If we wanted to go further, and this is a stretch, but this Agony driven Freddy could explain the change in behavior once The Tangle/Blob is formed. The fire of Pizza Sim clearly happened, we can all agree on that, and Remnant burns away in fire but Agony does not (as far as I’m aware). That would make any amount of sensible thought inside Molten to be burned away, leaving the agony of the MCI (if you believe Molten MCI) or even just the child(ren) that Funtime Freddy had captured to puppeteer the body explaining its drastic change in behavior and lack of speech.

Again, it’s not a “I solved FNaF” idea but it can explain some of the unseen changes between games. Also since the original voice Kellen tried for Funtime Freddy was German, I could definitely see the “beer belly” idea.

It's weird how the Funtime animatronics are essentially mimics. I wonder where such mimicking technology came from 🤔

I love both baby and funtime freddy, but circus baby still coped her way into believing pizza Sim was a special gift daddy made for her or whatever

I'd like to imagine that Mrs. Afton was also a serial killer and had no qualms with Will's habit if killing children... until it affected their own kids. Like a tragic version of bonnie and clyde.

It's not mentioned, but I feel like the Biddybubs (I think that's their name) deserve some attention as well. I'm not sure what role they are supposed to have officially, but I would realy love to know why Afton decided to make killer robot babys, and why they can apparantly take down a fully grown adult

The funtimes are definitely supposed to represent the Afton family. It would make a lot of sense for William to try bring his child back to life by putting him inside funtime Freddy.

Those also another piece of evidence to why people in the fnaf community think Ballora is Mr's Afton in Ultimate custom night if youdie to Balloora she'll say to you " Adimt it you wanted to let me in " implying that Basllora is Mr's Afton and wanted William to let her comfort him about the loss of their son.

Elizabeth getting kicked out of the Funtime Band could explain her willingness to work with her father in “Pizzeria Simulator”.

She has nowhere and no one else to turn to.

In “Pizzeria Simulator” did none of the animatronics encounter Scraptrap in the vents?

I kinda always got the impression the funtime’s Don’t actually kill the victim, but are a transport mechanism that allows William to finish the job at his desired location.

After all, if the robots DID kill the victims themselves, Afton doesn’t get anything out of it, and the robots would be possessed like Baby is.

I’m more inclined to believe the Elizabeth incident was just a freak accident, or she suffocated inside as William didn’t know she was in there until it was too late.

Completely random question: is the name Circus Baby actually a reference to/play on the "name" Broadway Baby? I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere but I have to think its intentional, bc I kinda hate the thought of someone just pulling the name Circus Baby from thin air.

What if it was because of damage caused by the fire that caused Molten Freddy to become more akin to the blob?Plus the addition of more animatronics could attribute to it's largeness

Aint sure if Ive commented here before but I know the og Funtime Freddy was said to be like around 6ft tall- looked up the normal size of a 15 year old girl and its around 5ft. Count would have to be really really big!

One thing I really appreciate about Scott Cawthon is that he put so much effort into not rehashing the last game with his sequels. You start out with the horror that these creatures aren't inherently malicious but on one level are just following their programming, and on another are seeking revenge. Getting to the point where the robots became actively bloodthirsty should have been the lazy option but instead resulted in these great characters with complex motives. It might be a shame that we don't get the time that we would have wanted with certain characters, and that we're in such a hurry that certain mysteries never get answered, but you gotta appreciate the creativity that goes into each major iteration of the haunted band, even going into Security Breach.

You say that Freddy is far from the least dangerous, but who exactly would be? Ballora seems to be designed for more of a support role, and Foxy is a fairly underused unknown.

Also gradys story is so confusing, his coworkers see him and leave him bc they'd get in trouble, as if they wouldnt get in trouble anyway, the pizzaplex is full of cameras.

I like how Afton somehow has this huge undergroud facility that he couldn't have built alone, and people don't know about it. And giant assassin robots that we know had outsiders review from the (That wasn't what we were curious about, Mr. Afton) scene. And some people have died in said facility. But no one ever thinks "We should do something about this guy something's not right with him."
Scott is a perfect example of why you should brainstorm with other people when writing. Otherwise you write something that sounds ultimately absurd. Scott didn't have someone tell him "Uh, that sounds kinda silly." so now we're here.
