Musicians today, with all the high technology that lets them record, refine, never see each other as individuals record over earlier tracks, etc. have just lost a lot, I think. The energy BETWEEN the band members, feeding off each other, responding to each other, and the ability to do it LIVE and to perfection...amazing, and it will be hard to get back to these days. I love a lot of modern drummers, but Michael Shrieve's sound with the most basic of drum kits is something to behold.
