Touching on your failed vegan comments - totally agree as someone who was vegan 10 something years ago and, through life circumstance (moving out, working, uni and frankly not much income) I slowly went back to lazy ways in regards to my diet. I always knew what I’d done was wrong and I’m so glad I’ve finally returned. I must admit though things have progressed so much in 10 years!

I also agree that the dialogue about animal agriculture is just not being talked about enough. Probably because governments are so focussed on its income which is disgusting. They need to wake up and see the substantial impact it has!

Happy world vegan day, everyone. It’s not just about what we eat. So, even in the rare case of the person who can’t eat WFPB, they can avoid all other products (and so on) that abuse and use animals and their environments.

It's also important to mention that some vegan foods are bad for the environment. I recently learned that rice creates a lot of methane as well as needing more water than many other plants. At the end of the day, corporations need to sort themselves out with fossil fuels and plastic. But I do hope more and more people obtain a vegan diet, so much less suffering that way.

Non vegans, if they dont see the abuse of animals they eat then it doesnt exist...they call us extreme, yet they will pay for some one else to murder what they eat. If people were to watch what we have seen they would understand why we are the way we are. You are either vegan or you arent, theres no inbetween. Its not just the food side of it,its everything from skin care, hair care, make up, getting your electricity from non fossil fuels its everything.

Happy World Vegan Day to you both. Thinking about the issue with christianity, I find religious texts like rorschach blot tests. How people respond to their content reveals something about their inner self. Some are encouraged to show kindness and love to others including those less fortunate, but sadly some use it to be just awful to others and cause unnecessary harm and hurt because of centuries old attitudes/beliefs.
I joined the Satanic Temple (not a religious/malicious group in any way in fact quite the opposite) whose basic foundations are focused on kindness, compassion and the importance of being more governed by scientific fact over severely outdated religious rules. They are active in their communities doing things like running after school clubs, cleaning highways and feeding the homeless. They challenge the increasing amount of religion being pushed into areas of life where it needn't be and could be potentially harmful rather than helpful.

Yesterday (World Vegan Day) was my one year anniversary as a vegan! Funnily enough, I didn't even realise it was World Vegan day last year when I decided to go totally plant based on November 1st.

Great video especially debunking crop deaths. 👍✌veganism nearly killed me if it wasn't for a friend, he stopped me trying to take a banana off a gorilla.

I’ve already wished you Happy Vegan Day but I wanted to add in this.
Sage words again Paul. I used to say the same about Veganism...’I don’t think I could do Vegan’. My excuses were ‘I’m scared, too much bother, can’t afford to as it’s too expensive, I don’t think I could go without eggs and cheese’...so I thought. Now after taking the plunge 10 months ago I look back and think ‘I don’t think I could ever be anything other than Vegan now.’
I will NEVER go back. I’m loving it, I’ve lost a stone and a half without trying, my blood pressure which was creeping up has went back to normal and I’m feeling healthier than ever. It’s so bloody amazing my 35 years of IBS hell has disappeared.
I don’t miss cheese or eggs, I get good vegan alternatives. As for Vego hazelnut chocolate...blooming heck that stuff is pure alchemy...it’s better than any chocolate I’ve ever had. It’s not more expensive either.
All this while doing it for the animals and the planet...which is what started me on this journey in the first place. What a bonus.
I’ve got your back pal, just like you’ve got mine.
Give Jason my condolences on the passing of his cousin Colin. May he Rest in Peace. X

Saying "vegan" just doesn't tell you what a person eats at all. Just what they do not eat. Could be tofu, could be Oreos, could be fruit and vegetables could be pizza and pasta. It is so varied there are sooo many choices... just eating fruit or water fasting is not "vegan"...

So sorry about Jason's cousin. My condolences. Hugs
