I have the CA 53W calculator watch and from your recommendation I bought the G Shock.
ОтветитьI am so happy you picked Orient, as a watch enthusiast anyone not looking at Orient is missing out. I have all these watches except the Seiko, for me I'd take my Hamilton field khaki instead.
ОтветитьI don't say this about Seiko very often these days but...Love that watch!
ОтветитьAll you need is 1 or 2 Casio, 1 G- shock and 1 Seiko, done.
ОтветитьI own the original Sea-Gull 1963 watch in 40mm (60th Anniversary) and 38mm (70th Anniversary), both 22 Jewels from the Tianjin Watch Factory.
Much nicer than the licensed 'Red Star' 'Plan B' 'Sugess' cheaper versions. But about four times more expensive 😊
I’m very opinionated so, with a grain or two of salt…
1. Kamasu. Absolutely. Wearing it right now. Great for all occasions. I love my red dial, but the one you showed looks more elegant. Better for formal occasions.
2. That’s it. The rest are trash. I should be less critical, but if you have to baby it, the seagull should stay in a box. Preferably starting in a mailbox, so you can get a refund! Did I mention I’m opinionated?
Digital? Disgusting. Get that junk plastic off your wrist. If you need a toy, get an Apple Watch.
With a Kamasu…
Field: Boderry Landmaster. Green dial
Dress: Citizen has several white dials that look elegant.
Chrono: Casio Edifice. There’s a teal one I like.
Everyday. SN020 brown dial
Plenty left over for a nice dinner with your girl!
Love your videos. And, I’m not really anti anything. I just enjoy being dramatic. Hope you understand! 😂
Have a wonderful day!
I'm disappointed, Casio calculator watch is a novelty, although fun and an attention grabber, it's shouldn't be considered for a "watch collection"
ОтветитьThis is the exact Kamasu I'm wearing to work this week on a beige NATO strap :) When you talk about it, it immediately seems more special to me! :)
Ответить5610
ОтветитьG-Shock GW-5000U-1er / MWC SUB/82/SS/AU/ND / Citizen CA4660-61A ... Wish I'd settled on these budget beaters earlier in my watch collecting journey, I would have saved a few ££ ..!!
ОтветитьI have an 8 watch collection and I dont see myself buying another one anymore
1. Seiko SKX007J1 - my first automatic
2. Seiko SRPE55 - my daily at work
3. Rolex Datejust - for special events
4. Gshock 5610U - used for cycling/sports
5. Casio CA53 - for casual wear/weekend watch
6. Casio MQ24 - tribute to pope francis/ for errands
7. Wenger 79355x - dad’s graduation gift in high school
8. Boderry Voyager - my only titanium watch/ also my daily watch
With that budget id just buy one
ОтветитьPersonally I couldn’t do 5 watch collection under 1k simply because I don’t like digital that much… however… I could almost get it in 2 watches if you let me go grey market. G-Shock GW5000U and the Hamilton Murph… Those two would cover my life entirely… but it would be hard giving up my Zulu Time. Great video as always!
Ответить1. G shock Dw6900 - 60USD
2. Orient bambino 38mm - 200USD
3. Citizen Promaster Diver Eco drive - 200USD
4. Seiko SSK003 - 350USD
5. Orient solar Diver Chronograph - 190 USD
Great selection, I would swap the calculator for A168 so I had a 5610 as a beater and the a168 as a smarter digital
ОтветитьI try to watch/listen to this guy but he gives me a migraine
ОтветитьThat would be a cracking collection my friend! Id probably only swap the dive for a seiko but other than that its great! Ive said it before and I'll say it again, You dont have to spend a fortune to have a fantastic watch collection!!!
ОтветитьI got the AQ-S820-1AVEF today, it's great. One more for the casio collection. Love your videos mate.
Ответитьgood
Ответить🧐 Uhhh, the Hamilton at the end...very nice watch👍
ОтветитьApart from the Chinese chrono and the Seiko GMT, I owned or currently own all of them. Spent probably half of that, but back in the days when watches used to be affordable . Great choices for a decent collection that every collector should be proud of😊
ОтветитьAbsolutely love the opening music... Its too catchy... Ta ta ta tadada...
Ответить😅Great choices. 3 out of 5 for me my friend! Both Casios and the Seagull. Love them. Can smash the hell out my Square and not worry about it, people see the Calculator watch and say "i remember those, thats cool as hell" and folk look at my 1963 and say "what the f**k is that?" I'd maybe swap out the Seiko GMT for a Cocktaìl Time for a more rounded collection.
ОтветитьGreat video mr mwc, great little selection of watches 👍🏻
ОтветитьI love my seagull. I have it on a leather strap and use it as my dress watch.
ОтветитьI’ve bought 5 watches because of this man.( I have 26)
Ответить3 out of 5 , casio's and they Seiko
ОтветитьMWC, very cool collection. as compelling as it is i’d switch the diver to a Chronosport Sea Quartz 30 “Magnum PI” watch that happens to look like the CWC 1983 Royal Navy watch. keep up the great work!
ОтветитьI got the G-Shock 5610U and the Seagull 1963...fully satisfied with both, highly recommend.
ОтветитьIf you like the the Seagull 1963 movement but don't like the Chinese military look, I'd recommend checking out the Sugess ST1906 Pilot Watch instead. It has the same movement but it's often cheaper and I prefer the styling.
ОтветитьI would definitely have swapped out the calculator watch for a Casio AE1200. The Casio AE1200 looks better, has better water resistance, is much more suited for my needs and has generally a more adult feel to it.
ОтветитьNope. To heck with the ChiComs and Red Russia. This video makes me disappointed.
ОтветитьHave them all. Superior choices me thinks!😊 Great show.
ОтветитьI have two of the five I have the calculator watch, and the Orient
ОтветитьSorry mate , I would not go for the Seiko , the Casio are great , but not the Seiko, Seagull ( looks like you bought it from a jumble sale ) ! Mate , is the video for middle aged 50's age group ? Come on mate get some watches that young people like ! I showed this video to my Nephew , 21 years old , the first two , wonderful and also the Orient (far nicer than that crap Seiko) ! I have the 5600 , 2100 , Orient Kamusu red, and a Citizen ! , and loads more !
ОтветитьThink you forgot to include the links in the description 😅
Waiting for them to drop!
Thanks!
I love my Seagull. 40mm, sapphire glass, on a distressed brown leather racing strap. It's a winner.
ОтветитьNo wife’s thoughts boo that’s my favorite part!
ОтветитьI'd change the calculator for casio A168 as a daily driver, keep the rest. And I loved the seiko gmt.
ОтветитьIve got the CA53, 5610 and Seagull. I also plan on treating myself to a Kamasu for my birthday! Great vid as always Russell!
ОтветитьNonono!!!! That red communist star on a seagul 1963 is a ugliest thing in a world! Sorry, but you need to be a stupid and the most tasteless idiot in the world to apriciate a watch with that thing on it. Sorry Sorry Sorry!
ОтветитьI'd include a Citizen eco-drive watch in the collection
⌚ ☀️
Hello MWC. I use to have a Casio TS100 when I was in secondary school back in the early 90's. Any idea where I could buy a genuine one? I don't trust the ones I see on eBay. Thanks 👍
ОтветитьMurph, 5610, Bambino/Seiko 5. Done.
ОтветитьWhat’s the best wrist watch for a post nuclear apocalypse?
Ответитьcan’t see the links?
ОтветитьMy own (sub) $1,000 list would be:
Citizen Quartz 38mm - $100 (owned)
Baltany Retro DJ 36mm - $208
Orient Kamasu - $220
OR
Casio Duro Marlin - $65
For now these are the watches I like to own.
Not sure why you need a GMT for everyday, but I like your collection.
ОтветитьI own the Orient Kamasu the Casio Calculator and the the G-Shock 😅🤘🏻
Ответить👍wicked selekshaan 👍
