Encouraging Kay Landon to make a documentary on Syria

Part of the vision for the Emerald Coast Film Festival is to encourage professional & future filmmakers.

Kay Landon & Sarah Abed won awards for their Screenplays at the Emerald Coast Film Festival in 2020 & 2021 that were based on true stories. I was proud of them, loved their heart of compassion and was moved by what had happened to the people of Syria so I encouraged Kay to step out & make a documentary utilizing all they’d learned from the Syrian people to help give them a voice.
