ОтветитьBeing born and raised here since 1969 I don't understand how people are shocked about the sinking. Just look at pictures of the coast line from Miami to Fort Lauderdale and you'll see the massive change.. let them keep spending millions on these big eye sores and then loose everything.

ОтветитьI understand and appreciate your advice/information and thoughts. But as a resident of Naples I must admit there is no major panic or sense of a stall/decline in the market of many of us here. Not sure if it's the belief that the positives of SW Florida living outweigh these upcoming condo state regulations? Maybe the group of buyers that are attracted to live in SW Florida have different concerns/interests? I don't know.
What I do know... the buyers of Florida today are not the same buyers from our grandparents day . Thank you again for all your info in helping folks make a good decision for themselves to live in a wonderful area of our country .
People, especially new comers, need to wrap their brain around the "Florida model" of development. Its nothing new, just more refined than 100 years ago. The objective is the same though. Maximum profits for the developers, builders, and most importantly the politicians and their friends and families. Build on swampland and close to the coast so that the same piece of land can be built on multiple times due to natures wrath. But dont build it so that it will withstand those storms. Each time generating huge profits for the above crooks. The next generation will flock to the state like the last with open checkbooks.
For anyone considering relocating to Florida. Rent for at least a year first and talk to everyone you meet about their opinions on living in the state. Pick their brains about all your important criteria and hidden costs of Florida. What you will likely find will change your mind. We winter in Florida but would never make the transition to full time residents. For more reasons than I could list.

ОтветитьOMG Barrett last month I was on the beach in front of the Riviera Beach, FL Ritz private residences (2 Ritz buildings there, no Ritz hotel) and did you know they had a freaking alligator on their beach a few months ago ❗ WTF ⁉ And, all these people watching their kids from AFAR... BTW An employee at the residences told me "You dont want to live here"... I said "Why ?" They explained the HOA fees are grotesque and always going up ! And the residences are super-arrogant....

ОтветитьIf you want to hear a loud sucking sound coming from your bank account then buy a condo in Florida. The endless HOA increases, special assessments, increases in your homeowner’s insurance etc.etc. will make you wish you couldn’t find Florida on a map.

Ответитьyou bether check your facts with the state of fl . we have a new condo in 3 storie bulding we had to do the test and we were good but we had to start a new resured starting in 2025 of 300 hunderd a quarter 1200 hunderd a year we just had the meetin yesterday so check your facts dont spread lies
