U.S. Senator Chris Coons discusses the importance of health care that balances quality and cost, providing high value. Senator Coons spoke at the Christiana Care Value Institute's inaugural symposium, "Value: Medicine's New Frontier" held April 30.

More than 200 health care experts from top institutions joined the dialogue at the symposium and considered how returning to the basics of medicine -- listening to the patient, better use of resources and a greater emphasis on safety -- can transform patient care and deliver greater value for the neighbors we are privileged to serve.
