ОтветитьHey neat, I was born in 1986 :D
ОтветитьI was born in '85 and i remember most of these. thanks for the trip. (:
ОтветитьDude, we had the best toys in the 80's Bar None!
ОтветитьAll very cool and stuff I'd love to have. I love the little figures. I wish they still made them but I guess people are worried about choking now. Bring them back and market them for adults!!
Ответить❤️Dino Riders❤️ I forgot about Dino Riders
ОтветитьGuess I was just gettin into girls in 86, dont remember any of these cept the Capsela. StarCom was Coleco? Thats interesting.
Love you Crafsman
Don't forget the OTHER great thing about StarCom, the TV Show! For a member of he crop of also-ran 1/2 hour toy commercial shows, the writing was surprisingly good - on the level of Exo Squad or Roughnecks.
ОтветитьHa! I had a visor in my Lego box from when I was a kid and it’s not a Lego visor it’s that star com. 😂.
It’s still in that Lego box that my 10 yo niece uses..😂😂
Thanks Crafsman!
I had a small set of each one of these.
I feel you.
I had practically all those toys mentioned as it's from my era as well..
I had completely forgotten about Stomper 4x4s! I ran mine all over the place.
my friend had the Capsela floaty floaty thing..
My mom also got me some Meccano but as a kid I still preferred Legos
Your videos are very rewatchable.
ОтветитьMe : “crafsman face looks dirty”
Crafsman: “do my face look dirty?”
looks like crafsman needs a shower, unless it's just the lighting
ОтветитьI was born in 1987 and this was a very interesting and entertaining video. I started collecting teenage mutant ninja turtles as a kid and it’s cool to see what toys were out when I was a baby. Love your videos Crafsman!
ОтветитьIn case anyone was wondering, the “Oh yeah “ sound effect used, that I originally thought it was sampled from the song shoop by salt-n-pepa, but on closer inspection it wasn’t, as in shoop it clearly goes “hey yeah” at the beginning. I genuinely thought it was a sample from that song for awhile, so I hope I’ve inform some other people who might have believed that as well.
ОтветитьGreat video! I remember picking up a big set of all jumbled up legions of power parts in a brown cardboard box from a car boot sale (UK) in the 90s and it was so mysterious with no packaging, the only thing I had to go on was part of a comic book that came with the set. I wonder if you have the comic there too Crafsman? That was a great set and with all these parts and no instructions I made some really interesting vehicles!
I also picked up a mysterious sci-fi car from around the same time from the same market, and I doubt anyone can tell me what it is based on my description but if anyone does have any ideas please let me know, but this car was very strange. It had two big wheels at the back that had winches embedded into their outer edge and it needed a kind of key to start it. But the key was missing so I had to 'jerry rig' that to get it going. 9v powered if I remember right. The stranger thing was that it seemed to go wherever it wanted and it would stop if it went into the shade. No idea what that was but it looked 80s. Any ideas?
Ok, I am subscribing just for the tone of your voice and the way you speak let alone the content.
Stay Safe
The year of my birth. I had amazing toys as a child, early 90s Lego being my favorite.
ОтветитьDear Mr. “you’re host the crafsman”,
I’m so excited for you and your new direction into animation focused content… But it would be awesome if you made another “sketch to sculpt“ video sometime. I really love them, I think my favorite sculpture of all time is the “mail snail” by you’re very talented son!
Maybe he could also do a “Fe-mail snail“ with big long eyelashes in pretty red lipstick 😂😂😂 but seriously crafson super talented!
It's also the year the transformers movie was released, so a good year all-around
ОтветитьLoved Starcom, but thanks for educating me on a few of those other lines
Ответить1986, my friend, is the year I was born. Glad my birth year had such cool toys!
Ответитьhad stomper too
Ответитьi had legions of power but i only had a couple of sets, woodville Ms
ОтветитьThese are so cool 1980s John Carpenter himself would bless them.
ОтветитьThis was a delightful journey - the 80s did indeed give us The Best toys.
ОтветитьI recall taking apart the Empire Strikes Back mini vehicle tank (with the bubble canopy) and putting a Stomper in it so it drove....I was king of elementary school for a day or two.
ОтветитьI had all these when I was a sprog. Starcom was the best. I had the base, I got it for Christmas 1987. I'd put a white blanket over it and make like it was carved into a mountain. And I got to be friends with the lady who designed the characters for the Starcom cartoon.
ОтветитьI was born in 1986!
ОтветитьMy favorite year was 1978. Micronauts were in full swing and every toy company was falling over themselves to bring the coolest toy designs over from Japan. Drills, claws, and spring-loaded missiles were the rage. Not gonna dis 1986 though, those were some really cool toys too!
ОтветитьThis is my current favorite video. Something about the music, the show and tell, the chill way Crafsman talking. I watch it almost every day. Sometime I just put it on repeat until I fall asleep.
ОтветитьI like ho he says "he magnetic".
ОтветитьI forgot about Starcom. Even now the name doesn't sound familiar but I remember having some little figures with magnets in their feet.
ОтветитьThose little guys remind me of the M.A.S.K. toys
ОтветитьStarcom changed my childhood...i absolutely adored it! But also...M.A.S.K and GI Joe. Boulder mountain was a toy i played with all the time and i remember being so excited one christmas to get the brown and black camo twin blade helicopter for the GI joe toys.
What a fantastic childhood.
This is the best video on the internet. I will defend craftsman with my life. They magnetic.
ОтветитьAgreed, I loved this scale for minifigures. Nothing is really being done like it these days except maybe megacontrux figures.
ОтветитьI wonder if the Robotix line could fit with the Spacelink connectors. Obviously the 3 3/4 robotix figs have no business with these micro beauties tho.
ОтветитьYou forgot Battle Beasts!
ОтветитьI was born in 86. I feel special.
ОтветитьMy first and only Legions of Power toy was the Nestle Quick promotion one. Mine wasn’t blue like yours though, it was red and kind of boxy. I guess they sent random ones out.
ОтветитьIt got to the end of the video and I thought to myself, "Crafsman, where's the fifth toy line?" Then I re-read the title of the video... Verrrrrry sneaky, Crafsman!
ОтветитьGood year for music, too.
ОтветитьI love love love starcom. The use of magnets is genius and the mechanics are incredible.
ОтветитьCrafsman, what’s that tune you got playing in the background!?
ОтветитьOh the feels are real
ОтветитьHow dare anyone give Crafsman a thumbs down. Pretty rude
