What is the BEST Color to Paint a Video Studio?

you said black was the best why isn't that an option?

Cosmic Blue is my color but if I had another wall, I would paint it grey/gray so I could do some lighting effects.

Well this was a big help! I’m looking at a Platinum color with a satin finish. I was going to do the whole studio to absorb the color and have a consistent scene when I do multiple camera angles. So the Thunder Gray was right up my alley.

Perfect timing too as I'm working with my facilities team and design firm to build an in-house video production studio at my company's new office. I was just asked today what colors I want the walls. In addition to a blue branded logo backdrop wall and a white cyclorama wall, I'm feeling Thunder Grey might be the best choice for the other walls. ;)

Hello! I'm going to redo my set. I have horrible old wallpaper and I think blue looks great, and could be the go to. I apologize in advance for the length of this post. The 2 sets I like best out there currently are "This past weekend" (theo von) and also Whiskey ginger (Andrew Santino). If you look at these sets they are pretty much 2 extreme opposites, yet they both look awesome. How do you determine bright, bubbly, active, alive, popping / with / makes my skin tone look awesome, warm, inviting, homey, etc.? One is super bright and funny, the other is intersting, "booky" and intimate. Thx for your vid.

hi. this is so timely. i'm struggling with lighting accents due to low budget so i just (few minutes ago) decided to buy blue wallpaper from online. i'm glad you mentioned blue. but my question is: how will i light it for my videos? can i use colored led (tube) lights? if yes, what color works best to light a blue wall? thank you so much.

I avoid anything blue, as my Canon HF G70 turns EVERYTHING blue on Auto White Balance (as does my G60). And, I suck at getting Manual White balance right. Sooooo, Thunder Grey it is!! Or whatever Home Depot has, that's close. 🎉🎉 I have Black, but viewers say it looks like a BDSM Lair, so..... Changing that! 😂😂
