I like the safety. It's EASY to turn off while drawing. And the 17 round magazine with two of the spacers will work in the G3c and have the full grip of the G3 and G3x, and NOT lose the safety. (15 round magazine and one spacer will work on the G3c as well.)

If you want solid pinky grip support in a compact carry pistol, it makes a lot more sense to have the extra rounds of the 15rd G3X and M&P 2.0 Compact 3.6 instead of the "empty" pinky extension on the 12rd G2/G2C/G3C and the 12rd M&P 9C/M2.0 Sub Compact.

Is this latest iteration made in Brazil or Georgia? Looked at your video again and it looks like it's still made in Brazil and that Taurus USA headquarters have moved from Florida to Georgia.

I understand the reasoning for having a sub compact pistol, but i also don't understand is why carry something that's too small for your hands. for me when they say SUB compact I instantly think of derringers, with the g3x that's PERFECT, full grip with a compact (not subcompact) upper slide? That's awesome, GLOCK messed up this year with NOTHING to show.

What does the .limp wrist test tell you? I’m curious.

I'll just get a g3c with a 17 round mag. Taurus sells a 17 rd mag for the g3c and it comes with a sleeve so it fits nice. I'll have a option if I want compact or mid size just by a swap of a mag

Just picked up my G3X from my FFL today. Took it to the range for testing. Did experience a few FTF with one of the mags, will clean and lube and retest sometime. I like the feel of it though. I did also get a little bit of slide bite on my meaty right hand. Nevertheless I'm happy with it. For only $250 or so......not bad.
Update: Took the G3X to the range again today after a thorough clean and lube. Shot 2 boxes without a hickup. Very happy.

Does anyone appendix carry the full size G3? I'm thinking about it...

Buy a g3c get a 15 and 17 mag

I have a OD green g2c, and I think my G2c needs a little or big brother. I’m keeping it in the Taurus family . G3X or GX4? This is a very hard decision for me. Any thoughts.

I have a g2c and a G3. I couldn't be any happier. that G3 is insanely accurate. I don't know about the g3x. I can carry the G3 concealed without any trouble and I've got an extra inch of barrel. sometimes size does count.

The best thing that they changed about the g series is they changed from their reg mags to mec gar mags wich are used for higher quality guns that makes a big difference

Thanks for your great review, Greg. I've had my G3X for a while. It hasn't disappointed. The larger grip with the compact slide is a winner. In addition to the two 15 round mags I picked up an additional 17 round mag. That's a hand full of fire power.
My first Taurus pistol was the PT92, Beretta clone followed by the PT 111 G2 Millennium. Since then I've added a G2C and now the G3X.

Picking mine up Saturday. For me it’s the Goldilocks size. Had a G2c and it went bang every time. Thanks for another great review.

If I were to go to war, I’d take my Glock 19 or Springfield XDM 5.25 BUT, I am 73 and way past combat, so I really enjoy my Taurus G3XL and will add the G3 Toro soon. I carry all of them (except the big XDM) with full confidence and shoot all of them accurately! Taurus has made great strides in their firearms since their new young CEO took over a few years ago!!

I've always liked my Taurus g2c except for the handle length it was just a tad too short. However I thought it shot great and was easy to control. I even gifted one to elderly father.
Today I picked up the g3x and it is perfect for my hand. I'll get a couple of 17 round mags for it and look forward to shooting it soon. I'm a fan of these pistols with longer handles and shorter slides. I'm glad glock started the trend.
I've also had a g3 and thought it was a fine gun but it felt a little out of balance to me.

For those of you who dislike the manual safety and have complained about the G2C, G3 and G3C including that feature, you now have options without the manual safety in the G3X, G3XL and the GX4!!!
