Great looking knife.
ОтветитьMy stick tang helle harding is so good i have a hard time justifying another......many moras and an awesome helle laplander
ОтветитьI have the nord and i love it for camping but it is way to thick for food prep, this looked so much better at it. I usually bring an opinel for slicey things like food prep and my nord for wood prep but i have considered a smaller helle for smaller tasks. I have a friend who is about to get married and i was thinking about getting him a nordly engraved for it
ОтветитьThank you buddy!
ОтветитьI have a small fish/ Hunt ING Helle knife , it cost me a 100 UK pounds "* , it's the best thing knife, tool. , u could ever own on earth , , , it's not an axe, to many so called expert s , seem to think u can bash it through a log. , , stupid , , but an ax 😮😊❤ ..
ОтветитьFin kniv
ОтветитьWhat kind of tarp you got there?
ОтветитьFishing part of the video was awesome! Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьI've had the Nord for about a month, and it's my favourite knife so far. I love my Casstroms, but the edge geometry of the Helle is something special. I want to buy the Nordly so bad, but with so many knives I'm having a hard time justifying it. I guess it's been that way for awhile and I keep buying more knives, so why not the Nordly too 😂
ОтветитьPretty nice knife, looks perfect one for bushcraft
ОтветитьLove the handle
ОтветитьI bought a Helle GT in the factory when i was traveling the west coast of Norway some 5 years ago. Amazing allround knife
ОтветитьThis makes me want to drive to Holmedal and get one. Maybe I will very soon😇 great video, your video style fits really well with those high quality products; Quality meets quality.. ❤
ОтветитьKvalitetsfilm om kniven 👍
ОтветитьWell there’s another Great place to visit and upgrade Gear:). Great video Thomas you skill sets really shows with your knowledge as a craftsmen!!!! Loved the fish fillet scene…😂😂 Great info!!!!
Thank you!!!
And now I want one... Damn you! 😉
ОтветитьVery nice video. I must admit I'm somewhat intrigued by this knife. The Nord is slightly too large for my usage, this seems more of an allrounder. I'd love to see them release it with a carbon steel like Sleipner though. Perhaps something in the future?
ОтветитьThis is such a good watch! The spoon carving is where my jaw dropped. I would love to learn that some day!
Ответитьчто за сталь
ОтветитьThis is therapy Tjommi, relaxing. I have st least 3 Norwegian knife brands in my collection and Helle is one of them. One traditionsl Scandinavian type of knife pnd one hunting knife i made myself buying a Helle blade. This and the large model just ticks the bones for me. Beautiful and look practical. Nice shooting Tjommi.
ОтветитьCringed on that ferro rod. Check this new issue for chopping and hard use. The winter up north can be cold and hard. The new Nord Sleipner certainly matches it. We have substituted the stainless 3.7 steel blade on the regular Nord with a 4 mm Sleipner steel blade. The handle shape is the same revolutionizing combination of two grips - a front grip for finer details, and a back grip for chopping. But the added weight and blade thickness makes this version slightly more geared towards chopping and heavier use. This version also features white liners and a black sheath.
ОтветитьGood review. Helle makes great knives. I have a only few. Love the birch scales. Makes a very comfortable and working purchase for control. The full Scandi grid makes a very strong knife bland and the full length tang is great to have. Several American brands have a flat grind which is very good for slicing but so much for carving or chopping. The thickness is a good compromise. If it were any thicker it would try to rotate in the hand and pull chunks instead of slices. I carry a hatchet for the tough stuff anyway. Eying a folder. Like you a few hundred reside with me. Now with all those knives you should have an impressive drawer of spoons and other utensils. As far as the fish filleting, it takes a sharp knife to do that and that one truly is. A tidbit, I was in college about 19 years old before I had a boneless fish fillet. All the time growing up fish were out primary meat which we caught in local lakes and rivers. We fried them whole generally and picked the bones. When you are hungry you get pretty good at it. Good fishing my Nordic ADV and cutlery friend. Remember it's not a pry bar nor a wire cutter. All good from the hills of east Kentucky USA
ОтветитьThat’s one Helle-va knife… sorry it could not resist😂 Beautiful materials and craftsmanship 👍
ОтветитьGreat video, you should definitely make more bushcraft/outdoors videos, and all the shots are amazing. have a great day :)
ОтветитьHelle knifes are very nice and the quality is high. Love them.
ОтветитьA beutyfull knife
ОтветитьExcellent knives.. 👍
ОтветитьI heard nothing but good about this knife, regarding bushcraft and all round camp stuff. The handle has the length for my large hands. And it looks great too :-) So I'm saving up for one at the moment.Thank you for this review, I appreciate it👍
Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱,
TW.
The moment you shared this knife in Patreon I had looked into it and fell in love as well. Your opinions matter and helped me decide to buy it. An absolute gem!
Ответить😎
ОтветитьHmmm the steel on this knife is sort of «low end». It perform worse than s30v etc. Wish they used Magnacut etc. However, what a beautiful and practical design !
ОтветитьIt’s the apocalypse. Zombies are about to crash through your front door. You have just enough time to grab one bushcraft tool. The Nordly or the Gränsfors Bruk Outdoor axe? ….Or a spare set of Crocs?
ОтветитьWonderful review and I may add this to my kit. I'd like to have a better idea of the grip size - what size glove size do you use? You have some great shots of the Nordlys in a full grip. Thank you in advance for your time.
ОтветитьTechnical question. How well does it hold its edge? The reason I ask is because I am TERRIBLE at sharpening knives... either that or I am fantastic at blunting knives. This means any utility knife I have needs to hold its edge well for a long as possible. My long term favourite is a KA-BAR short style. Mine was made in Japan and I have treated it very badly for years yet it continues to do its job perfectly.
ОтветитьThis is so nerdy, gotta love it 🤩
ОтветитьThats a really "sexy" knife! Looks very well balanced. In your hands it also seems extremely useful.
ОтветитьThanks for another great video Thomas both enjoyable and informative😀 I know you are a busy man but I'm still waiting for the video on how you sharpen your knives 😉 keep er lit,
Dave.
As a Swede lived in Norway for 5years i get the same feeling everytime i see your pics and movies, i want to move back!🙂 keep up the good work. Buddha bless from Sweden.
ОтветитьThat's a good looking knife! I hope you enjoy it on your adventures yet to come.
Really enjoyed the way you set up the shots. You really have a way with the camera to make everything look great on video, wether the sun shines or it rains.
Tusen tak for the video.
Tough looking knife 👌 Northern countries make awesome knifes! 🙂
ОтветитьHerlig video og review i nydelige omgivelser! 😊 🔥🍁 Ser ut som ein fantastisk kniv 🔪 Godt jobba! 🙌
