I think it's great to encourage reading and how the brain has plasticity.

Question: If Americans are busy working 2 or 3 jobs, when do they have time to read?

I wonder if audiobooks effect the brain similarly. Or is there something special about visual and text?

What about reading online? Via phone or PC etc.

Can I ask how this affects Dyslexic people?

It's kind of hilarious that the audio portion of this video is an AI reading the text in the video to us. I'm also not quite sure what area in the anterior temporal lobe is being referred to. As far as I know, the anterior temporal is associated with auditory processing. Broca's area, in the left frontal lobe, is associated with speech production, and Wernicke's area, associated with language comprehension, is located in the posterior temporal lobe.

Watched your video. Couldn't find what is there in reading than the person cannot get from other sources. The fact that the brain gets better in something with practice is the obvious. Strengthening the brain regions of reading just for the sake of it - has no adventage.
