Thank you Ziet!
ОтветитьHi Ziet. Want to get some idea from you is KDI suitable for normal investor? Comparing it with moomoo.
ОтветитьIf retail investors want to make real money without taking much risk, it is through time-arbitrage
E.g. Companies that are sold by institutional investors because of short-term outlook, instead of the long-term.
Buy companies that are temporarily impaired / on a cyclical downturn, and patiently hold it and wait for it to turnaround. (*Provided they have enough cashflow to sustain their business until the turnaround happens, so you have to perform solvency analysis)
You want to get in before they execute the complete turnaround, and once that begins, value multiples will be rerated, the herd would push it highe, and dumb sell-side analysts would be raising price targets... that's when you ride it to >+150% or so and then start trimming positions.
Not financial advice but these are couple companies i'm buying now that I expect would double and possible compound further in the next 1-3 years, when FED cuts in JUNE watch these stocks +25% easily from here
STOCKS :
$VFC (Owns Vans, Timberlands, The North Face, EastPak)
$GOOS (Canada Goose)
$PYPL (Paypal)
$JD and $BABA (JingDong and Alibaba for some Chinese exposure)
$CPS (Cooper Standard, autoparts supplier, huge demand for EV will cause this to head back 80 range)
Natural gas companies like Comstock Resources.
Most financial channel in YT is loads of crap with copy paste idea from others. This channel is really different. A lot of research and typical Msia, short cut way, to settle things tips. Keep up the good work
ОтветитьAnd the bots are back, very nice video, it's always good to revise the basics even when you've invested for a while, my bursa pf is nearing 1st year anniversary and it's giving me ard 21% return, you've definitely helped in more ways than 1, even though u mostly cover US stocks
ОтветитьThanks Ziet, for the financial advice. The information is really helpful. Since stocks prices have gone up so much, is it a good time to invest in stocks now? I'm a retiree & thought of diversifying my investment.
ОтветитьHi, Ziet I definitely like your channel and has share with my friends too. Your loyal supporters
ОтветитьThis guy knows his stuff
ОтветитьWhen I was a teenager, USD to MYR was 2.5. Purchasing power has dropped a lot in 2 decades!
ОтветитьThe best financial advice out there bro, keep it up 🎉
ОтветитьHi Ziet great video, been bingeing your videos as i've recently started my uni and i want to build up wealth in order to buy things i like. Just want to let you know that your videos are very helpful!
ОтветитьI agree on your take with property investing. Being in Mont Kiara and seeing many properties coming up left, right and centre has gotten a lot of people excited but I still refrain from it because I see stock investing as a safer and surer way of growing my wealth especially since i don’t have much capital to begin with.
Another key point is to make sure you find a partner who has the same financial values/goals as you. Very very important this one.
Always wanted to learn how to invest, but don't dare to start, hope after watching your video could step out the first step 🤞🤞
ОтветитьHi Ziet, as you mentioned in the video no one readily teaches financial education in malaysia. I had to learn the stuff you spoke about in this video the hard way over years as I didnt have anyone to teach me. This was way back in the day so I had to resort to US based books.
Its amazing how much effort you and your team put in, concise knowledge that is accompanied by beautiful infographics. Thank you so much for a more "Malaysia based" content so that we Malaysians can learn and grow this precious knowledge. I have subscribed, wishing you further success and looking forward to more quality content!
A comment for algorithm ~
ОтветитьGreat video as usual team Ziet. You've covered many asset classes on surface and general which is in line with the video target audience: beginners.
For real estate, I would like to add the following points;
1. Capital appreciation has a peak as it follows the rise/stagnant in salaries. Lower or stagnant salary, how to sell your property higher?
2. Political stability is the cornerstone of economy and in our real estate obsessed country it's even more important because it attracts foreign FDI to establish presence here.
No presence here, no need for jobs here, and no need to rent your property.
3. The laws governing rental is lacking or non-existent. Example, the residential tenancy act that have been debated and debated for years but never saw the light. Do you know how hard is it to evict an errant tenant?
Can't even blacklist your errant tenant properly as there's no laws governing it.
4. Illiquid AF. You can't liquidate in the event of emergency. Yea I know those gurus or agents will say it's a long term investment but the question is how long? 10 years? 20 years? 30 years?
5. Young ones, if you're watching this, Ziet team is right to say that you have many more opportunities now than I had back then. Back then I want to invest in US stocks is expensive and very big hassle. Even local stocks requires minimum 1000 units to buy which is not beginner friendly too. However, now, you all have crypto (which i don't know jack about), ETFs, NFTs, P2P, ECF, and so many more alphabets I don't even know what is it. Many roads ahead. Hence, message from Uncle Kenny is to DECIDE YOUR GOAL and choose your roads leading to it.
6. Close to retirement like 40s and if you're starting over, don't ever buy into assets that is hard to liquidate like real estate. Focus on starting a business or learning a new skill to get a new job in different high earning sector. Focus on earnings, that's the key.
7. Real estate you need to deal with many people from agents, lawyers, bankers, contractors and so many more and getting screwed over is normal. If you don't like the hassle of dealing with tenant, you will be in for more surprises after buying your property.
8. Real estate is still bought up a lot by the rich. It is a WEALTH PRESERVATION asset and NOT WEALTH BUILDING due to the nature of it appreciating slowly.
9. Capital appreciation is NOT guaranteed but your LOAN REPAYMENT is. From this statement itself, I would rather buy bank stocks than own real estate. Guaranteed returns is always good.
10. Real estate also follow the fundamental of supply and demand. People have jobs in that location hence the demand for real estate increases and with it rental and price increase. However, with the coming of AI and technology like cloud computing, people can work from anywhere in world and not necessary need to have physical presence. This will affect your real estate prices too.
All the best young ones, the future is so exciting with so many new things to learn and make your life easier. Best of all, it's entirely up to you.
Hello你好!! I was wondering , have there been people who become millionaires just by investing in S and P 500 ? ( Besides Warren Buffet). I know online finance calculators show that it is possible if we invest like 500usd monthly over 20-30 years kind of thing , but is there real life example of such person whom you can interview ?
ОтветитьIs it better to pay more in house flexi loan or should I use the extra money for stocks. Or etf.
ОтветитьZiet I love your videos and I've been following you for a while , Do you edit all your videos by yourself or u hire someone ? I am just little curious

ОтветитьHi Ziet, I'm truly thankful to have stumbled upon your channel! Your advice is invaluable for someone new like me, please continue with your excellent work!
ОтветитьJust want to share my story here. I started looking into personal finance video in mid 2021, a year after I purchase my first house, it was prebuilt and I’ve withdraw epf and put it in my account to be used for Reno when it’s complete. After explore personal finance, I decided to put those money into good use. I’m into both crypto and Tesla just one stock for all and few crypto( I believed everyone knows how it’s goes from there from the timeline) Everything took a turn when Russia invade Ukraine and pretty much my portfolio went sideways. I was demotivated, every day staring at those red number and started explore other alternative way to cover the lose (btw I also victim of Luna and UST crashed ). I’ve met friends and got myself involved in Ponzi scheme. I have everything planned and ready to quit when there’s a sign, the dumb thing I did is to utilise the low interest from credit card and borrowed quite an amount (enough to buy Honda city) just hope I can jump in and out while making enough to cover all loses. And voila the scheme collapse and I lost it all.
Took me entire 2023 just to face the reality, and by then the house is already completed, the key already handover and I have to start paying my mortgage in full. Now I’m living pay check over pay check and carry shit ton of personal loans debt . And here I am… watching back your videos and wanna start fresh with whatever balance I have.
As for my portfolio now, I’ve Tesla shares only worth 1/3 compare to when I first purchase, certain stock I trade option and lose it (most recent is sofi which I bought at $8) hope when the earning out i can sell and make some profit. Crypto, only BTC earn while rest are still in the drain. From the original of 50k now left 10+k. I guess it’s still better than nothing.
I found myself in very bad position, not only due to age which I’m already mid 30s, mortgage eat a lot + maintenance fee to pay every month and don’t wanna think about having a family due to my current financial status. I’ve barely enough to invest. But I’ll see how to get there, I’m not a productive person …. I can’t see myself doing free lance job and not really good at one. Will continue to fight, now with Moomoo, I’ll see if I can commit myself to force myself to save a bit transfer to moomoo and probably etf all the way till I finish paying my personal loan debt
good info!
ОтветитьPlease upload the 8-12 year crash of the market! Thanks Ziet team
ОтветитьThis kind of financial literacy should be educated in school level for future generations.

ОтветитьJust a tips to share on EPF, if you're managing your parents fund/EPF account.
The online account will allow you to withdraw money by filling up the forms online, and the money will probably be credited next working day.
**You can actually tumpang their account to store your money.......
2 most crucial education our schools doesnt teach.... money management and maintain health..
