Eberspaecher bunk heater....smoking,what's wrong with it?

Open its combustion chamber and clean it and also replace gascut and atomizer screen tube. Over the period of time, it gets clogged with greasy carbon. If you don't have time to do it then use/sprey quick starter from breather pipe when it starts up.

it seems to me, that heater is not getting enough air. solution probably would be to take it appart ant chean it.

Vent hole needs cleaning and screen replacement
or fuel filter on fuel pump
Start cleaning vent and screen for burner chamber

Sometimes the combustion chamber is full of soot. Need to take it apart and clean it. Good luck!

Had that problem last night while I was asleep. Company said it was just cause its cold outside. See what the shop tells me tomorrow, but by looking at the comments I guess it's been solved.

I think it needs cleaning.

You need to change the glow plugs screen and fuel filters screen and clean out hole with brass brush before you put it back together and then run it on some kero to clean out the soot build up

Manufacturing companies put shit on trucks that don’t need to be on them cause shit just breaks down

Just needs cleaned out take it apart. Make sure you have new gaskets

Does anyone know where I can get gaskets for the inside of the heater. I've has to open it up to clean it and my gaskets have broke

This heater is a piece of junk, bought a brand new unit and after only one month the same problem - no heat but a lot of white smoke while all my neighbour boats uses chinese units without any problems for a tenth of the price I paid for!

Blow air into the intake. It’s carbon up. This happens when it sits for long periods

My thermo king did that for little more then 30 and then started right up I thought I was about to burn the semi no lie I got scared lol... reading the comments I started again and lefted for a while and eventually started up.. it's the first time ever using one.. hope it fixes the ac problem too.. I don't think it has been use in months or years.

Webasto is not designed to work for long time at high altitude. Mine stopped working after 10hr. Code error #1 then #2. Trying to start there was very thick white smog then it stopped and tried to run second time with the same result. Today I disassembled the unit to find out lot of soot inside, I mean a lot. Currently trying to clean that mess.

you need to run it at full temp once every 4-5 times you use it to de-soot the chamber - if you don't want to strip to clean it run it on full temp for a while and also add deisel fuel injector cleaner to your fuel tank.

u need a new screen, pull out glow plug, pull out screen, thers is a small air hole on bore clean out with a pick, installe new screen good to go, i keep these in my truck, 10 pac off ebay cheap

Yep it's dirty as hell you need to do a pm on it your fan blades have dust built up and it can't spool up to the needed speed and your combustion chamber is got carbon built up in it and needs cleaned inside and out and your glow plug is likely flooded with diesel fuel easy to do just be sure to get a pm kit with the new gaskets cuz they will crumble when you disassemble the unit mine did the exact same thing this year actually

The glow plug is fine but obviously the element needs to be changed along with fuel pump filter and airway cleared out by glow plug. Didn't you watch any videos about this yet?

My fuel pump was bad making smoke,only 3 years old🤷🏻

The tiny hole on the glow plug air intake is blocked. The strainer screen should be replaced every 2-3 years and the tiny air intake hole cleaned with a 90 degree pick for maintenance. Yearly maintenance is to run the heater on high for 15 minutes before turning it off towards the end of the season.

You run it on low setting for long periods of time, you need to set it on max temp and let ut burn for 45min once every month to clean out carbon... You run it low because the bunk is so small, and I guess you have a thermostat in there? So when it hits its set temp, it will turn down and build up soot and carbon deposits inside the chamber...

I've paid my company 3 times to fix it...I think they need bi monthly maintenance when you live in your truck full time...like everything else.... it's a pos is what the problem is...

When was the last time you fired it up?

My Scania,s heater have different error. Heater starts and blows only cold air few minutes and then error signal. Is it possible that fuel pipe is frozen and it wont work?
