Mathematical proof that the biblical flood was impossible
• The radius of the earth = 6371 km, which means the volume of the earth is 1,083,206,916,846 cubic kilometers.

• The height of Mount Everest is 8.85 km and this is where the water level has to rise to cover the earth.

• Add the height of Mount Everest to the radius of the earth 6371 + 8.85 and re-compute the volume of the earth with the 8.8km water on top of it = 1,087,727,260,852 cubic kilometers.

• Subtract the earth’s original volume from the computed volume yields 4,520,344,006 cubic kilometers, which is the volume of the water to cover all the mountains (or the flood).

• The total amount of all the available water on earth before the flood (rivers, lakes and oceans) is measured to be 1,360,000,000 cubic kilometer, not including the water locked tightly in minerals and crystals (like wadsleyite and ringwoodite). The water in those minerals can only be freed by an incredible amount of energy. If this energy were to be released the earth’s temperature would rise to many thousands of degrees, and every living thing would be boiled in the steam to death.
The flood water is more than 3 times larger than all the waters available on the earth.

• There is no explanation or possible place for this huge amount of water to go (it could not evaporate for a billion year or ever), the inside of the earth could not hold even 1% of this amount.

• This incredible amount of water fell over the course of 40 days. So to raise the sea level 8.8 km in 40 days, the rainfall must be 8711 inches per day. The heaviest rainfall ever recorded was on Madagascar in the 1950’s where 73.6 inches of rain fell in a single day. So during the flood, each day more than 100 times more rain had to fall than the highest ever recorded on earth. This deluge is akin to putting a boat (Ark) under Niagara Falls.

• Falling at the rate of 8711 inches per day, it would produce in incredibly high saturation of the air with moisture, which is impossible to breath.

THESE IS JUST SOME OF THE MATHEMATICAL PROOF OF THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF THE FLOOD, BUT HERE IS A LOT MORE TO THIS FABLE (which I won’t go into at this time)
• There are geological and physical facts making the flood impossible.
• There are historical proofs – several civilizations not recording any global floods
• There are biological evidences against the possibility of the flood
• I won’t even touch the ark and all the animals, which is a fairy tale and a biological impossibility.

I think William Lane Craig has integrity in that he can change his mind when presented with evidence and not hold to dogma.

THE GREAT FLOOD NEVER HAPPENED, UNDENIABLE AND IRREFUTABLE PROOF:

God said it would flood all the land to a depth of 15 cubits. The heaviest rain we get is 8" a day and it causes floods and landslides. To cover Everest it would need to rain 725ft a day meaning a boat the size of the Ark would be hit by 648,000 tons of rain traveling faster than a bullet daily i.e. it would explode into nothing instantaneously. After 40 days the earth would be stripped of all topsoil and be unable to support any form of life other than fish most of which would have died due to de-salination and temperature change (which would have also destroyed the ocean and tidal currents), the atmosphere would disappear due to lack of vegetation, the waters would boil off and voila = Mars.

(You could try to argue Everest was only small at that time and grew but, unfortunately, the tectonic plate movement required to rapidly increase the height of the Himalayas (and elsewhere) would destroy the earth with Tsunamis, earthquakes and volcanoes many times over. Or you could argue subterranean water but a geographical analysis world wide proved, water capable of covering the earth to 120 metres or 1.2% of the required depth is the maximum that could come from beneath earths surface. And don't forget, the earth would need to reach it's maximum amount of ground water before it started to flood not the other way around.)

Dinosaurs were killed by a 10km diameter meteor that hit earth 66 million years ago and created the extinction event crater named Chixculub. It is proved 3 ways by radiometric dating (which cannot be refuted) 1. The 200km wide crater is dated 66 million years ago (production of an extinction event as confirmed by super computer modelling), 2. the iridium belt, also dated 66 million years ago (Made of pure iridium. Only iridium alloys exist naturally on earth) and 3. the last of the dinosaur fossils dated 66 million years ago.

A literal Noah's Flood / Ark was scientifically disproven over two centuries ago. For example:

1. The world is full of geologic features (angular unconformities, the vertically incised meanders in Goosenecks State Park, the Columbia Basalt Group) impossible to form in a one year one time Flood.
2. We have lots of archaeological evidence of cities and cultures (Jericho is 11,000 years old, The Jiahu culture in China is 9500 years old) which lived right through the Flood without noticing.
3. Modern genetics shows no extant species underwent a severe genetic bottleneck only 4400 years ago. If the Ark story were true ALL extant species would show such a bottleneck.
4. Besides well established radiometric dating we also have lots of non-radiometric proxies (tree rings, lake varves, ice cores) showing the Earth is way older than 6000 years.

If Jesus ever lived (and there is no evidence that he did) and he is the same god, as the god of the bible, his story is the story of a vengeful neurotic monster who murdered nearly everyone on earth in the Flood including millions of babies and infants; burned cities full of children.... etc. What sin did the babies and infants commit?

Also: Can you name a historian or writer contemporary of Jesus who was an EYEWITNESS to Jesus, and tell us where he mentions anyone, called Jesus? (there were more than a dozen writers in the early first century living in the Middle East --- the most famous was Philo)
