This sounds like one of my stellaris campains.

My empire (not humans tho) was part of the galactic union. Seen as weak because i didnt have fleets. Then a genocidal empire thinking it was strong attacked me and i didnt get help from other "allied" empires. So i went to my planets and reactivated my drydocked fleets 10x the streangth and size of the enemy. I wiped them all out and purges their planets and all of the sudden everyone saw me as a threat. Whilst i jaut drydocked my fleets again and continues to grow my planetary and galactic economy and science levels

I get really tired of these stories that say the same thing over and over or cheesy one liners no adult would say aloud.

A rewrite or two and this story becomes really good. A few areas seem to repeat which drags it out a bit.

I usually enjoy these, but this was unimaginative, completely predicable and incredibly repetitive. No depth, no substance. Even the characters seem to be just thrown in to break up the narration monologue without any real development or for that matter necessity to the story told. Waste of time.
