Nice. My son and I frequent Honea path in our kayak and always have decent luck in those pockets straight across from the ramp. Drop shot on structure or docks is very effective. Last few times we have been in Dec-Jan with the colder weather have been very slow though. We are showing bait all over the place on electronics but cant get them to hit even with slower presentation and standard winter lures-A Rig suspended jerk bait etc. Congrats on the PB!

Could not disagree with you more on your assessment that it was a disappointing day. You did exactly what you should be doing in winter: getting one or two bites. Anything more than that is gravy. January is when you’re gonna catch your PBs. Just keep fishing for those one or two good bites.
