I thought P5 was egregiously exploitable, then P5R came along and was like 5 times worse. And the fan-fic tacked on at the end was cheap. Was hoping for a more seamless implementation of the new content, like P4G did.

I hate to admit it but personally, I think the best version of P3 is the movie.

Not a game I know, but if I want to experience P3, my go to is always watching the movie and getting the general overall experiance in a smaller dose. It trims a lot of the bloat for me and hits the key points of the story very nicely, even better in some ways than the game does imo.

Here's to hopping reload will change that.

i honestly love the system of not being able to control your party members in p3fes. it made it more difficult and i loved it

Personally i enjoyed my two runs of P3P and it was a blast. Though i'll never understand most people bitching and whinning over the visual novela aspect of the Portable Version of Persona 3, if anything i welcome this style to the game true, some context will get lost with the lack of cutscenes but who gives a shit? "I sure don't if you ask me"

I'm confused. You said you aren't discussing mods at all, but then how are you playing Eternal Punishment on PSP at all? It was never localized

At this point, Persona 2 could be released as a full game with the option to play Innocent Sin or Eternal Punishment or play them both as a full story.

FES will always win because you can enjoy nice social link cutscenes. Like Elizabeth and the escalator.

Gotta say that i appreciate the censoring of the spoilers in the gameplay footage. Way too many people just toss out spoilers for no good reason.

I love “P3P”, but I just downloaded “P3: FES” with a patch for controllable characters!

mods... I say stick with the Playstation versions.

I think that for P3, played the Portable version for main story since they did add more dialogues compare to the original, some even add new context like Junpei's Ultimate Persona is a fusion with Chidori's Persona. Then play FES for The Answer only, maybe with Party Command mod to consistent with Portable gameplay.

I’m sure you were joking when you said the best way to play P5 was on switch, but for me I am 10x more likely to play a game if it’s handheld. I played Golden on the Vita back in 2015 and I spent basically all of my free time in January-March of this year just playing P5R on my switch it was all I wanted to do

I know you said no mods, but for those who want to play P3 FES, you can emulate it and there is a popular PCSSX2 cheat that allows direct commands. really best of both worlds.

The only mod I think you should make an exception for is P3FES controllable char hack.

I’d agree with your points on P5/P5R. The only reason I’d say to play P5 is if you want a more challenging experience. While many of the things P5R added were cool, it made the game feel very easy, even on higher difficulties. Whereas on P5, if you’re playing on the highest difficulty you really have to plan and be prepared for each dungeon.

I loved Persona 4 and went back to play Persona 3 and was not prepared for the hit to the feels lol took me years to be able to back to it.

I DAMN agree that playing persona 4 after 3 felt somewhat lackluster.
Games not particularly bad, just felt somewhat underwhelming.

No matter how many videos do I watch, I'm still doubting on persona 3 versions, I never played the game, I'm playing on a series x, should I buy the p3p version or just emulate p3fes? Because I guess that they will never release P3 fes on the Xbox shop

As a curious outsider to the series, opening with a stream of mod-hate put me off continuing this video once the subject came back up for the first game. Just a little feedback for the future.

I started playing the series from the very 1st version the OG ps1 version now I'm on persona 2 innocent sin ps1 version as well I'm loving every time I play it and I'm also considering to watch the anime adaptations

I got into Persona game from watching Occultic;Nine then i started with P3P and holy shit, only game that makes you feel in highschool all over again xD

Tbh I prefer P3P over Fes for the male route too, mainly bc of the qol improvements

When it comes to 4, i go with the original since that's what i grew up on, but as far as playing it on other systems, I'll play Golden for easy sake. Never really could get behind 3....for obvious reasons.
