Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi organized a Lecture and Slide Show by Johny ML on 26th April 2012 at the Government Museum & Art Gallery, Chandigarh, India.
This was a part of the Chandigarh Arts & Heritage Festival 2012, which was organized by Chandigarh Administration and the three Akademies of the Chandigarh Administration, from 24th to 28th April 2012.
During this Festival, Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi organized the following six events:

1. Installation by Subodh Kerkar
2. Exhibition of photographs of installations by Subodh Kerkar
3. Exhibition of Landscapes in miniature by Bireswar Sen
4. Art Workshop by seven young artists of Chandigarh
5. Slide Lecture by Subodh Kerkar
6. Slide Lecture by Johny ML

About JohnyML

Born in 1969, in Vakkom, Kerala, Johny ML has three post-graduate degrees -- in Creative Curating (University of London), Art History and Criticism (M. S. University, Baroda) and English Language and Literature (University of Kerala). He has curated thirty-five shows that include Video Wednesdays @ Gallery Espace, If I Were a Saint, Expressions at Tihar, Freedom to March, Lens-ing It, A4 Arple to name a few. Johny ML is the founder editor of two online magazines on Indian contemporary art (www.mattersofart.net and www.artconcerns.com). Johny ML has done extensive research on art education in small town art colleges in India and the findings are available on www.artroutes.in . He has also written articles and essays for catalogues, journals and newspapers. He also invests his creative energies in directing documentaries on art, translating international literature into Malayalam and writing a blog, johnyml.blogspot.com. JohnyML is the Managing Editor of Art and Deal Magazine, New Delhi. He is a visiting professor in the National Institute of Design and CEPT University. He lives in Faridabad, Haryana.
