Bruce Kulick Reveals the Truth Behind Kiss's FORGOTTEN Album!

Bruce Kulick is a saint to have been in the vortex of KISS and yet inhabiting the good natured, even and steady blessing that he was in his membership with the band across the entirety of the gig.

I heard someone say that Tommy Thayer was the nicest guy in Rock but I want to vote for Bruce Kulick for that position.

Rock on Bruce Kulick, you are a great player and even a better man. That's the way to be.

Revenge was a great album.

Carnival souls was kiss's greatest album.

Carvival of crap is what it should have been called. The only KISS CD i never listened to all of it

I'm going against the norm in saying this, but Bruce was the best guitarist to ever play with KISS. Yes, I know that he was with them during the iconic 70's, but he was the best technical guitarist. Along with Eric Carr as the best drummer in KISS. And also, against the norm, I really liked the Crazy Nights album as well.

Without the original KISS 💋 Happening. I got into Kiss in 1984
Then, I discovered the original stuff and it's so electrifying and magical ✨️ KISS IS THE BEST 50 Years of greatness.

Carnival had some great songs , drums were mixed pretty flat but jungle, mirror , pauls ballad , just great tunes , walk alone solid , I didn't care fir genes songs all that much , timing screwed this album for sure , I still listen to it from time to time

I listened to Gene's interview with Smashing Pumpkins guy. He's try to get Gene into Kiss as a true music act and Gene would say that's fine but if it doesn't make me money if it's not a success who cares? Why suffer when you can live the high life.

COS,,awesome album but at the wrong time.A huge problem with Kiss was they didn't stick to who they were,they tried to keep up with what was going on,,in other words,,trying to be something they weren't.

i think Carnival is actually great album. idea was bad for KISS and timing was very bad. rich rockers playing crunge was already dead cow. but in the end album is full of good music. people forget that MUSIC IS THE THING.

it must be nightmare to work with Paul. if you dont do trick he want, youre replaced. Paul is really terrible human being but i love his music on KISS.

Worst Kiss record ever. 'Carnival of Souls' makes 'The Elder' sound like 'Appetite for Destruction'.

What a great guy. Unfortunately KISS was a band that after the 70s ended, was always trailing behind:
When the 80's sound was Motley Crue, they had to play catch up with Creatures of the Night (thanks to Vinnie Vincent they sort of caught up with Lick it Up and on).
In the late 80's the music changed to GNR and they're still stuck with glam rock.
The early 90's were dominated by Nirvana and Alice in Chains and they're just catching up to the late 80s with Revenge.
The late 90's saw grunge die an early death and the rise of Marilyn Manson and the like and they put out the grunge-ish Carnival of Souls.
A lot of bad timing there. The die hard fans kept this band afloat more than they'll ever know.

1997 was such a weird time for rock bands ! It was like a make it or break it year for old school bands

I don't like the music from Bruce's time in Kiss, but I like Bruce.

I always thought that Bruce could easily have fulfilled Ace's role in the 2000's. He played many of those songs during The 80's, and they could also have included some more of the later songs. He would probably have been more expensive than Tommy.

Bruce should be damn proud of Carnival Of Souls! It's a great album. Great songwriting with mature lyrics. Far better than Revenge! As a KISS fan of 50 years, it's in my top 5 KISS albums. It's a shame that it didn't get any support. Thank you to Bruce for his integral part in making it.

Bruce is correct that Revenge should have sold a million or two million copies. The songs were there and the videos were on MTV but none of those singles turned into hit singles on the radio/rock radio. The Kiss COS album is not very good. Kiss was trying to be a band from Seattle and wanted to be alternative. Just a poor choice by the band which contributed to why the band was at the lowest point of their career in '95

Ace will always be the guy but that's through Love Gun. Bruce brought stability and great playing to the band. Very fluid in his playing. Tommy never had it other than mimicing Ace.

Bruce, you got screwed sideways. Period. You should have taken Aces make-up.

I personally think Revenge is one of the top 5 KISS records.

They wrote songs about getting laid for 20 years, then in 94’ they’re all the sudden sad and lonely? It just didn’t fly..

Gene was influenced by what would stuff the most amount of 💲in his wallet. The most opaque band waggon jumping in rock history.

I bought a kiss album once (kiss alive 2) when I was 15. Unlistenable garbage! I thought the makeup was cool, but never heard their songs before. Just.... ewww! Talentless hacks who know they are talentless hacks, hence the makeup.

Bruce is such a gentleman. He chooses his words wisely. Yet you can tell he has more to say, but bites his tongue.

Carnival of Souls is some of Bruce's finest work and a REALLY good album. I actually like it better than Revenge. Might put me in the minority. But I'm glad it eventually came out. Paul was at his vocal peak around this time. So it's special for that alone.

Kiss doesn't have any FORGOTTEN Albums

Revenge was a great record, and Carnival of Souls was a natural progression.

Carnival of souls is one of the best rock albums ever... just listen to it.

I would put the song "Jungle" up against any other rock song.

I remember hearing a cassette dub of the bootlegged version, almost 30 years ago now! Fan since '78. I like a lot of this album. It was a real band effort.
