I have two palettes that I made out of refrigerator shelves - actually the bottom shelf that goes over the crisper section. One of them that I was cleaning today actually has some tiny grooves in it, and as I left the paint on it too long it was a little harder to get the paint out of the tiny grooves - so a lesson not to leave it on too long! I live in the country and take my garbage to the dump where people drop off old appliances, so I went and got a second shelf from a small fridge. (Both of mine are from small fridges.) I love being able to reuse stuff rather than buy new materials!. I just taped white paper to the underside to give me a white background. The paper was used printer paper on one side, but the printed part doesn't show through. Who knew Gorilla brand has their own duct tape!
