ОтветитьThanks so much for sharing love all your videos it is like time travel where we can scape and be relax and happy Sending lots of blessings your way
ОтветитьGirl, how is this the first video of yours I have seen? I am in my 40sz and desperately crave an old fashioned English in my case Christmas. I believe it's a nostalgia for a quieter, simpler time without the constant noise there is now. No £350 computer consoles, just a time for getting together, eating the same food, watching the same tv as a family (we had 4 channels back in the 80s!) and just slowing down. I'm off to dig out a Miss Read Christmas story and sit by the fire. Thank you!
ОтветитьThanks for a beautiful year! Excited for next year! ❤🎉
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your ADHD and autism journey ! 💞
ОтветитьSo beautiful ❤ and I have that same mug I love it so much ❤❤
Ответить❤
ОтветитьI hear you. I have 6 brothers and 3 sisters and only a few of them love Christmas the way I do. Makes me so sad! So I love this from you!
ОтветитьLove your videos. I do prefer them without the voice overs. Something about just watching and hearing the natural sounds is relaxing or reading your comments on the screen I find is more comforting for me personally.
ОтветитьYou are very creative with artists celebrating the old faction way of Christmas. And how you do that.
ОтветитьSame. I am 65. I should have been a farm mom with a dozen kids. I would have thrived.
ОтветитьIt all goes back to little house on the prairie books lol
ОтветитьOn learning how to use the woodfired oven - southern bbq resources may prove useful, specifically on woodfired smokers. After all, they're just glorified ovens.
ОтветитьI always joke that I work harder not smarter. lol. I get the branch thing.
ОтветитьThank you for the beauty, light, and hope in this! A very Merry Christmas to you and your very blessed family!
ОтветитьI love your video and how you filmed and edited and everything… however you sound very sad. (?) you literally sound like your ready to start crying any minute. I hope I’m wrong and this is just your way of speech. ❤
ОтветитьWe are so grateful for you too! It's been really nice to hear your voice. I am also AuDHD so this change feels like a wonderful, confident victory. BTW, your boughs did indeed come from a juniper, Juniperus virginiana (commonly called eastern red cedar tree in my area). You can make a really nice fermented drink from the ripe (blue) berries called smreka. It's been a wonderful new yule tradition for me. There are many recipes online but I like to add a couple dried hibiscus flowers to make it a lovely red colour.
ОтветитьThank you! That was absolutely lovely ❤
Ответить❤ Super ❤ Merry Christmas ❤
Ответитьwhear did you get your coffee maker
ОтветитьThe Winter solstice in England, a yule log in fireplaces, I have seven fireplaces in my cottage and lots of dark days and rain so the plants can make some growth even under the snow. Even a person who is able to afford hired help, such as the daily woman who comes in from the village to clean, is seldom without charity. I always put out extra food for the tool sharpener man who comes around, and the rag and bone man (A rag-and-bone man collects unwanted household items and sells them to merchants. Scraps of cloth and paper could be turned into cardboard, while broken glass could be melted down and reused, Traditionally, this was a task performed on foot, with the scavenged materials (which included rags, bones and various metals to be scrapped) kept in a small bag slung over the shoulder. Some rag-and-bone men used a cart, sometimes pulled by a horse or pony.
In the 19th century, rag-and-bone men typically lived in extreme poverty, surviving on the proceeds of what they collected each day. Conditions for rag-and-bone men in general improved following the Second World War, but the trade declined during the latter half of the 20th century. In the 21st century, rag-and-bone-style collection continues, partly as the result of the soaring price of scrap metal, particularly in the developing world.) he still comes by with his pony cart here in the Cotswolds. I always make sure he has a hot meal. And part of Christmas here is when the village vicar comes by, that tea-drinking parson with his polished shoes and genteel manners, to remind us what Christmas was all about. Christmas grog for the young people who come by caroling at your doorstep.
I put a shilling in an old hat of mine that I place by the cottage door. And if a poor man comes in sight, I give it to him. This is where the expression comes from, "that's old hat" meaning it is something you do always. Of course, depending on how poor the poor man is, you may leave a five pound note in the hat instead of the shilling.
ОтветитьThat cookie box looks amazing! A work of art! What a great idea.:)
ОтветитьThank you for posting this inspiring Christmas video. There is so much beauty and peace in your traditions.
ОтветитьTasha Tudor has the most beautiful old fashioned children's books. Her Christmas books are beautifully illustrated.
